If you're not going through immigrations then u shouldn't need it. Airport gates are like bonded warehouses where u go through without entering the country.

i have a connecting flight in turkey and i believe they require visas for american passports, but i won't be exiting the airport so i don't think i would need a visa. my layover is 2.5 hours there

Turkey has an e-visa system. You can apply online for it beforehand or do it in the airport when you arrive

Since you're just there for a layover and not exiting the airport you won't need one though

 that you are feeling better.....

Did your tint guy give you a discount for slow response? ;)

hey thanks. :D

:rofl2: naw, i didnt ask for any discounts. im okay to pay him wat he wants as long as he does a great job.

considering the inconvenience of me having to have to ask my wife to drop me off and pick me up, i rather just pay the full price and get it over with in one try.

if it was just tint i wouldve waited for the car, but clearbra needs initial curing time especially on a day like today where we're expecting more rain and snow. :ugh: going to let it cure at least 4hrs before pickup.

Leingod 02-24-2016 10:22 AM

Wish i could tint the Z... i'd get nailed everyday from the arse cops around ehre though and NY's shyt laws on tint percentages.

im tinting the STI to the max allowed for the state.. im not fully confident i would not be pulled over, but hell, the tint guy recommended it as 'legal' max, so he can redo the front door tint with a lighter shade as part of his lifetime warranty if i do run into issues. :D

kenchan 02-24-2016 10:32 AM

im not tinting my Z though. the car is hard to see out of already and with a big roof and small windows, it doesnt look too light to begin with.

my G on the other hand.. looks too light with just the factory tint, so i want to do hers later on if im going to keep the car for a few more yrs.

kenchan 02-24-2016 10:33 AM

regardless i need to first see if the new company is willing to lease a company car for me... maybe not as my travel will be mostly out of state and out of country..

What's the limit for tint?

NY:
Nothing on the front
70% on all sides including passenger rear sides
Any % on rear

Leingod 02-24-2016 10:45 AM

GF just got a small little raise at work. Only been at the new place for 4 months.

ours is 35% all around, or darker in the rear if front is factory..but one needs to be very careful to take into account the factory tint shade. STI's shade is darker than say my G's, so it's possible i could still be pulled over.

in this case i would ask the guy to redo the fronts with 50%

I really can't stand sales people when they come into the office. I could remote into their computers and fix stuff if they'd submit a damn ticket. but no, just wait until it's either fully busted or they're in the office. Then just drop it off in my office and walk away.

It's still sitting on my desk. I'm not touching the damn thing.
