I buy a gal. at a time but I have been using the same type of product for three years. Before that I think it was orange. But it is all good stuff from griots.

Yah I've been using the orange one for yrs. I too buy by the gallon but usually I go through a gallon a yr unless I resort to the waterless system. Thank for the input. :tup:

I just went outside and on the way down the stair well I saw this black hornet looking thing that was the size of my index finger. WTF!

I went back to the body shop that fixed Belle to see about getting the driver's side door and fender buffed out, there's some places that got missed. The missed places aren't horrible, they are just a little foggier than the rest of the paint. Well, the shop has been closed and converted into an office of some kind. They don't know where the body shop moved to. :(

Well, this sucks. Any good detail shops near you? I wasn't happy with the buff job the body shop did when I got mine back in December. I thought about taking it back to them, but honestly, I wasn't confident of the job they would do. Took it to a local detail shop and they washed, clay barred, buffed the entire car, and waxed it for about $100. Money well spent having it taken care of by people that know what they're doing. Car looked GREAT when I got it back. Good luck!

If you're up for it, get some scratchX and a firm-ish orange foam pad to polish it. :) Should bring up the shine.

Will take some elbow grease if u don't have a random orbital but it is doable

I'm leaning more towards the detail shop route. There is a shop here that offers discounts to HAZCC (Heart of America Z Car Club) members. That way everything gets done. The rest of the car looks great, but a good detailing job is like a trip to the spa for cars. :)


Besides, I'd have to go buy a Porter Cable D/A. While it's on my list to get, I need race ramps before that... :p
