Morning, kenchan. I feel as though you are slowly being pulled to the "dark side" with this flurry of STI activity. I'm worried about you. :ugh:

Morning, onz. Since it's raining, will you be working on your other Z in the garage today?

I'm off to help dragonbreath tear down yet another VQ. Hope everyone has a great day. :tiphat:

:rofl2: haha :D yah, im almost done with the car. just this lip and maybe the accessport down the road. bought the STI on purpose not to have to change much.

since my driveway is still wet, im going to swap back the G's steering wheel this am in prep for the alignment next week. :p
then decide later to keep the stock steering wheel or swap back to the momo again..

Where's Kernchan when you need him? haha. I am reading on here that extended studs are needed for 15mm on the front. I have 25mm hub centric spacers with the studs already built in for the rear. So if i want 20mm on the front, I technically don't need extended studs. hmmmmm

hummm? wat are we talking about? spacers? u need to get the stud replacement type for the front if 15mm as the stock studs will hit the back of your wheel disc if you get the bolt-on type for stock wheels. even with 20mm i had to grind the back of the stock wheel by 1-1.5mm to clear it.

i was about to swap the front to the stud replacement type when i got a flat on the rear tire and the local wheel shop faked up my wheel during dismount/mount. :ugh: sold the sport wheels and got the weds and nismo wheels. havent looked back. :p

Why do I always think you're younger than you actually are. I need to remember that I'm wicked young on this board. Haha.

Now you have me nervous since I ordered some bolt on huncentric 20mm for the front. And I already have bolt on huncentric 25mm for the rear.

Not all z had this issue with slightly longer studs than others so U might get lucky.

kenchan 03-05-2016 12:10 PM

put the stock steering wheel back on my G in prep for alignment next week.

those who were asking about how i tape the sprial cable during the steering wheel swap.. here. this prevents the vdc from acting like a dumbf.

Dunno. Although, I don't act my age (whatever that means) and I don't look my age either. I'm shocked when I realize friends from high school have had grandchildren for six or seven years.

No, not yet. The only alcohol i make is apple cider and regular beer. My coworker makes root beer and is not that much different than fermenting an ale.
