Weird. Says they fit my 09. hahahaha Those damn tricky wheel wells. I don't want to deal with stud replacements. Hence those.

Even better!! Do I need extended studs though? The pair I got from someone on here already has studs built into them.

The website says you do, so I'm not sure how good a deal these are. :icon14:

They have the kits with extended studs, but they only go up to 15mm.... crap

Leingod 03-04-2016 09:31 AM

Where's Kernchan when you need him? haha. I am reading on here that extended studs are needed for 15mm on the front. I have 25mm hub centric spacers with the studs already built in for the rear. So if i want 20mm on the front, I technically don't need extended studs. hmmmmm

You may not need longer ones but I would get stronger studs just to be safe. I don't like taking chances. The stress point on them are going to be more towards the end. Plus you may not have enough threads to properly tighten them.

I'm with MB, I think I'm not going to cut corners on this. With TT in the near future, I sure don't want to snap a lug or lose a tire on the highway. :icon14:

Get those ARP extended studs for the 20mm then?

Masterbeatty 03-04-2016 09:41 AM

I drive my car harder than most people, that's why I didn't cut corners with suspension either. SPL all the way.

spacers with ARP studs= win

safety > hella flush.

Leingod 03-04-2016 09:58 AM

So many conflicts for what to do. Hopefully the 25mm ones I got for the rear are fine since I can't add extended studs. Front, who the hell knows what I want to do. I don't track or race overly hard. Some bolt-on spacers will prolly be fine. Thanks Ghost and MB.

Nah, not an idiot, just merely a rookie not being afraid to ask questions.

I've been using google and the search button like crazy. Part of it is just OCD and the other part is wanting to know every which way something might work/fail. I have no problem asking idiotic questions that seem simple to others. I struggled for 2 hrs putting the helper spring in the Z last year. I suck at working on cars. I can water cool a computer with custom built tubing in an hr though.

Leingod 03-04-2016 10:25 AM

I'm ordering those original ones on Amazon. EW bought some knockoffs on ebay that are fine. If they don't fit, I'll just sell them on here. haha

Leingod 03-04-2016 10:26 AM

All i do know is to buy some anti seize with everything hahah

At least we now have Google and the forums. When I was starting out, it was all 'trial and error' and call dad for help. If I totaled up what I spent in broken/wrong parts and long distance phone calls to my dad, I think I'd probably freak out.

You are on the right track, the forum is a great resource.

I just wish I was a little better on the computer side. I've grown up with the silly things, my first was a TRS-80. I've built several, but some of the finer details, like how to network them, escapes me. :icon14:

Haha! Yeah, we eat at the original one every so often. Since you planted the idea in my mind, I had Broadway for lunch today. There's one at Mendenhall and Poplar, near my office. Next time you're home, try Pyro's. Really good, especially if you like thin crust.

I want to order those spacers on Amazon, but I just remembered I have a 25 dollar gift card at home to use.
