Vehicle feedback sensation?

Quick question about driving my new Z…

Though I am somewhat new to the Z scene, I have already learned that driving a car like this requires a certain finesse that comes from both experience and driver feedback (or sensation) from the vehicle.

My question is this… I have the touring edition with leather seats. If I were to purchase some leather pants to wear when driving my Z, would it help or hinder the feedback I would be feeling during “spirited” driving?

Thanks in advance for any advice

uhhhhh..... I guess since leather is thicker than denim for example you wouldn't feel your heated seats anymore. But idk if it will hinder how the car feels on your asss

:wtf2:

Yeah, I would imagine leather pants would lessen the feedback you would get, if I were you, I would just take off your pants whenever you get in to maximize the feedback.

My default driving attire is assless chaps. To feel more connected to the car.

Hmmm, I guess I didn't think about the heat coming through the perforated leather seat covering... However, as I have not yet bought the outfit, possibly I can try to locate some perforated leather pants. That would probably solve that problem.

Thanks for the comment.

Wouldn't you want to feel what the car is doing???

And for pants I would go with AS*-less chaps..

kenchan 01-18-2016 01:25 PM

sensation with leather pants WTF op..

DeliriousClam 01-18-2016 02:21 PM

The only possible thing I can think of is you'll stick to the seat better... But same goes for the assless chaps or driving while naked as mentioned earlier...

UNKNOWN_370 01-18-2016 02:27 PM

Is this a real question? I think you should ask Ricky Bobby...
I don't think we're that advanced...

No pants is the best...few pointers

MUST park on the shade in summer. Leather seat + summer heat = burn!
Baby powder (Johnson brand) or diaper cream where you deem appropriate.
Don't fart. Don't eat spicy and high lactose content food.
Clean yourself real good after every use of bathroom.
Clean and condition your seat daily.
Passenger required to do the same.

Edit: Oh forgot, don't drift, don't speed, no track day, no canyon run...you or passenger may get too excited...don't wanna soil your perforated seats

onzedge 01-18-2016 04:55 PM

I re-upholstered my seats -- they are covered with the "hook" half of Velcro. I wear custom pants made from the "loop" side of the Velcro.

The grip and road feel is phenomenal but it is a bit tricky getting out of the car quickly. This proved problematic after a particular Taco Bell lunch.

That and a 4+ point racing harness, and you'd probably need a diaper.

I bow to your genius, sir.

Never mind, I just read your caveat.

Surely someone can devise a quick-release mechanism. For the Velcro, not the Taco Bell--that has already been perfected.

'Tis why I don't eat taco bell unless it is their cantina bowl haha

I love how this thread has gone from the sensation of the 370z to the sensation of explosive diarrhea..... :wtf2: :stirthepot:

DeliriousClam 01-18-2016 07:01 PM

Someone needs to fabricate an actuator powered sliding door that makes the floorboard under the driver seat and part of the driver seat slide back in case of the taco bell ***** while wearing assless chaps

We better ask the pro EW for advise.
