My neighbor got one and a week later the rear diff was leaking erl, the trunk was chipping the paint on the seam every time he open and closed it. He said it was from driving it home from the dealership in RI. About an hour drive at highway speeds. Too much down force.

wow, dat sucks.. :ugh2: i wonder if those are made in the midwest now.. especially when i read about fitment issues at the parting lines it's like the pos mexican brand new fit i bought for my wife dat lacks precision.

saw a sti-limited without the stupidarse ricor wing for 42k the other day...

since there are folks here dat rave the car, thought id look at one just in case it might appeal to me..
i see dat the dealer offers a front splitter... dat might make it look better on the front.

Yha you pay that much for a car and those things should be sorted out. Note to self don't hire X- Subaru or Gm QAI's. They suck!!!!

i think the sideview looks good, the interior on the sti's are nice. but the rear and front looks like a cheaparse eco-car. :ugh:

yah... the non-sti variant "premium" might be a sounder choice if those are made in the midwest. :ugh:

Yup, I cross shopped for one when I bought the Z. The interior wasn't as nice and the curb appeal is much better with the 09-12 Z.

yah, i mean the sti's interior use to look pretty cheap.. but the current gen looks more european-like.. like a GTI? in dat sense i thought it looked nice.

What compound do you use? My nitro i used foam tires for the tarmac and it gripped like no other.

On my track surface I use hard rubber compound. I don't use any tire sauce or traction compounds. :D foam on arsefart is good stuff.

in the old day we used to use traction-compound + tire-warmer/carpet on rubber tires, nowadays, just the traction compound alone is good enough, thanks to the li-po battery, we can have an extra minute of warm-up before the 5mins qualify and still have more than enough juice to cross the line :tup::tup:
