Almost died.

Knee got obliterated, forearm split open from wrist to elbow, chest lacerated, and road rash to cover it up.

Bmw driver stopped suddenly in front of me when I was on my motorcycle, I avoided the car to the left, yay, but motorcycle lost control, and there was a cement wall that divides route four east and west. The motorcycle pinned me against the cement wall and grinded me down for a couple feet until the motorcycle threw me off.

But hey, I'm alive.

This happened Sunday, on the sixth. Got out the hospital on the 11th.

Can't drive the Z cause I can't clutch....

Sigh

Glad you're ok. What did the BMW driver say to you? Why did he suddenly stop?

THAT IS F****D!!!! Dude I am so glad you are okay. Sounds like a pretty bad accident. Even though the BMW sped off did anyone else stop and help you?

Hope for a speedy and well done recovery my friend!

Well ya, an off duty paramedic was on the highway when it happened. Thank the good Lord.

I hope you're doing okay bro. Sounds like a nasty fall. Did you have your gears on? All my friends who ride fell off at least a couple times but nothing as serious as yours. You should consider getting a go-pro mounted for next time.

It was the one day I didn't wear gear. Helmet and gloves. Nothing else. It was quite ironic because I took my gear out that morning to wear it but decided against it cause it was north of 90.

Thank god there was an off duty paramedic right there, probably a big reason on why you are at least not in any worse condition.

Whenever I used to ride I always wore my gear. I didn't care if it was 105F outside and was drenched when I got back.

I had the helmet, gloves, jacket, and I had high top boots with carbon fiber reinforcement in the ankle and then I put a steel toe on them. usually wore jeans, sometimes wore my pants.

2009_370z 09-14-2015 02:02 PM

That's the most important part! Karma is a b*tch. Glad you're okay.

I stopped riding motorcycles in my early 20's. It was always just a matter of time.

Glad you're okay.

Get better soon! I can't count on my hands how many close calls I've had. In AZ bikers are just not seen. I rode around a nervous wreck the entire time I owned my bike. Lost a few friends and decided they're only fun when you get out of town so I said goodbye to that part of my life and decided to focus on fast cars solely.

YzGyz 09-14-2015 05:01 PM

Bikers are not seen anywhere! People just don't look and care for riders. I always wear at minimums lid, gloves, and jacket when I ride. Invest in a mesh jacket and gloves that breath with pads for the summer. Then get a nice leather jacket and gauntlets for colder weather. My brother and I both have knee/shin guards that we strap on when joy riding.

Glad you are ok. You are lucky your not worst off. You know how bad it can being a man of medicine.

Get well soon.

Hate to say it but I'd rather sweat than bleed
Gear is your only safety on a bike and you have to wear it to work
As hot as it gets can you imagine what the floor feels like when you crash ?

Glad you made it out OK but I hope this serves you a lesson on wearing gear , I don't want to come off like a d!ck but sometimes it's the only way we learn

Glad you are alright but from one rider to another you always wear your gear. It only takes one time. You are very lucky to be alive!!

rooftop 09-15-2015 02:59 AM

did you learn your lesson?

Zoren 370 09-15-2015 04:20 AM

Hey im glad your ok. I always wanted to ride a bike too but with 3 kids and the bread winner in the family. My wife would not let me. Your just to vulnerable in a bike even the best bike riders I know have hx of broken bones on them.

But in the funny side of things there is a saying in my mother country.

"Bad grass dont die early" and this

:worthless:

Lol.......get well soon my fellow Bad Grass!

SouthArk370Z 09-15-2015 06:44 AM

This is what, you're third or fourth attempt at a Darwin Award? Get well soon and better luck on your next try.
