Great big globs of greasy, grimy, gopher guts!

It's quite funny. You won't like it :icon23:

Sandy: I want you to kill every gopher on the course!
Carl Spackler: Check me if I'm wrong Sandy, but if I kill all the golfers, they're gonna lock me up and throw away the key...
Sandy: Gophers, ya great git! Not golfers! The little brown furry rodents!
Carl Spackler: We can do that... we don't even have to have a reason.

Carl Spackler: Licensed to kill gophers by the government of the United Nations. A man, free to kill gophers at will. To kill, you must know your enemy, and in this case my enemy is a varmint. And a varmint will never quit - ever. They're like the Viet Cong - Varmint Cong. So you have to fall back on superior intelligence and superior firepower. And that's all she wrote.

Carl Spackler: This is a hybrid. This is a cross, ah, of Bluegrass, Kentucky Bluegrass, Featherbed Bent, and Northern California Sensemilia. The amazing stuff about this is, that you can play 36 holes on it in the afternoon, take it home and just get stoned to the bejeezus-belt that night on this stuff

Lacey Underall: My uncle says you've got a screw loose.
Ty Webb: Your uncle molests collies.

Quite possibly, but 80's humor just isn't funny to me.

There are probably movies that I think are funny/hilarious that others don't think are funny.

The only one I could consider "liking" would be Ferris Beuler's Day Off. It seemed well done, no cheap, fake looking effects, and not much of the typical, unfunny 80's humor.

I don't mind cheap/fake looking effects. Too many movies nowadays seem to be rehashes of things we've seen before with better graphics. Same goes for video games. How can you not like the goonies though!!!!

The remakes today are quite a bit better. I really liked the new Star Trek movies. The original shows, etc.... meh. I could watch, but it was cheesy.

I'm looking forward to the new Star Wars though, with todays technology for graphics. I will say I loved the original Star Wars though.

Goonies? Such a perverted movie. A bunch of little kids chasing after "One-eyed Willy"... c'mon now. Pedo-bear's favorite movie.

I guess that makes me a pervert/pedo lol

Not saying that, but it's just a realization that I had after watching the movie...

I enjoy movies, but not to the extent of others most of the time.

caddyshack may have came out prior to my birth and I was only 1 when the second came out but they are still awesome flicks.

family friend owned a video store back in the day so I got all the movies I wanted as a kid. got a good appreciation for older films even though im younger.

plus Netflix now has a classics category which I go to frequently.

Haboob 08-06-2015 02:31 PM

I didn't watch many movies growing up. I was always outside playing sports, etc. Didn't really get into watching movies until around highschool I think.

sports all day, movies and video games at night.

The "remakes" today are unimaginative pieces of crap redone just to make a quick buck off the Millennials. Support the original 80's flicks, watch on VHS or Beta Max for the best experience.

Geesh, kids today.

Granted, I don't want to keep seeing remakes of stuff that was done before. At least the Star Trek stuff had a twist and was cool.

The fact that they keep remaking the DC and Marvel movies over and over kind of annoys me. Marvel has done better (outside of Spiderman being done about twelve times since 2000), but DC... c'mon, already gearing up for another Batman?

That being said, I won't support the 80's flicks either, because they're complete garbage compared to what's produced today (not saying everything produced today is top notch, there's a lot of **** out there too). Humor back then was just different, and it's not in line with my humor I guess.
