I still need a baffle for the heat coming from the smoker box into the grill side, but the shift knob looking thing is a raise/lower mechanism for the coal grate (which is awesome!) significantly restricts the size of my baffle.

So far, I have seasoned the entire grill several times including all panels, lids, and grates. I removed the two rubber stoppers on the charcoal side lid and added hi-temp felt gasket, and I sealed the smoker box and lid with hi-temp gasket sealant. It's nice having a real grill again

Course mine is no where near as cool as JARs

It is seasoned beautifully inside. And the grate still cleans up to a near perfect shine if I put in the elbow grease. Trying to decide whether to sell it on craigslist and recoup some funds or what.

I had an 18 inch that was really hard to deal with. I like the 22, I can control the temp and it came with two charcoal boxes. I usually only use one to keep what ever I am smoking from direct heat. Done ribs, brisket, pork shoulders ... yup it works. Just not high quantity.

Looking at a couple low mileage 3rd gen TL's tomorrow. Always loved that body style. I'm debating between getting a newer no thrills car (Camry/Maxima/Accord) or a well maintained lux car with some bells and whistles (TL/G35x). Both would be within my budget and have around the same mileage. So far it looks like the TL/G35x seem to be in better condition, despite being a year or two older than the Camry/Maxima/Accord.

OK, so they say there are no "gimmes" in AA. Perhaps this is true, but I am taking one now due to upcoming travel.

This Sunday marks my 15th year of sobriety. Without god's grace and the men and women of AA who have been there day after day and year after year I would not be writing this. It is to all those folks and everyone else in my life I dedicate this day.

To borrow heavily -- we share our experiences, strengths and hopes with each other that we may solve our common
problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. This works, my friends and I am proof.

I am grateful to all of you, as all of you have had a role to play whether you know it or not. I think of and pray for, those who still suffer and for them there is hope and a, way out. it is true.

Bless you all.
