kid made us mapo-tofu tonight from scratch, no help from me or mom.

turned out very good :yum: taste was A+, restaurant level. he slightly turned the tofu too many times while heating causing them to crumble more than it should have, but it wasnt like in tiny pieces or anything.

i gave him an A. :D :yum:

Sets bottles and cans directly on hot car paint for a picture

;)

A lot of it has been around for a year or 2. just a slow collection of stuff I find I am frequently using. And their was enough dirt on the car that those bottles simply sunk into the grime. hehe

Was still expecting more from Meguiars polish and liquid wax.....

I just purchased a new navy suit with all the trimmings (no shoes yet). I was getting dressed for my wife's grandfather's funeral last Saturday when I noticed the dry cleaner had put a hole in my suit pants

As it happens, I got news shortly after his service that my own grandmother, Marjorie Rickard passed away around noon that same day. We are attending her Celebration of Life service and inurnment a week from tomorrow. She was living in an Alzheimer's facility confined to a wheelchair with very minimal physical and mental capacity for the past few years, so we know she is in a better place now.

my condolences, mr. jar. :(

Yeah, I think her car actually might be an ideal daily driver for me; nothing to worry about as far as being valuable, but also not a POS - and of course I know the service and repair history of the car, since I was involved in pretty much 100% of it (although we did buy it when it was about 1 year old with 15K on it).

Then again, it's an '05 Camry automatic snooze-fest. No bluetooth, even. Nothing. Pretty basic car.

Guess it will make me appreciate my Z more when I drive it though. :icon17:

Also my condolences for your paint. :ugh:

Dude don't set stuff on the car when it's dirty. Rookie mistake. :shakes head:

I drove a Camry of the same generation as yours for the last two years. It was reliable but basic. Mine was a v6 so it did have some get up but youre right, every time I got back into the Z, it felt great. Since I travel all the time and barely drive either car, I kept telling myself to keep the Camry and spend the money elsewhere, but in the end it was a little too basic for me. Just sold it last week. For me, even though it's a DD, I just can't go completely basic.

Yeah that's what I did too; I had a Civic that was perfectly good... But boring. I would drive it down south to see my Dad on those curvy back roads and think "Damn I wish I had the Z right now" but it's unlikely I'd ever take the Z on a road trip like that. So I figured I'd look for something with a little more fun factor.
