Just my :twocents: though: You can't throw it in her face that you have all this financial freedom yet you are asking to store your car there. And you also said you don't give a crap if you can store it there. So......I think you wasted a lot of words that you probably didn't have to type.

I just thought it would be nice to have a free space to put it over the winter. It's going to waste otherwise. But you're right. It's not that big a deal and I wasted a lot of words.

She's partially blind. My family has always done the "I'm so sorry, please steal my car and I won't car" mentality. I get sickened by it. Yes, she's legally blind, but she can still see good enough to play video games. She dropped out of high school senior year and hasn't done anything since. She lives off of my dad who is to kind for his own good.

ouch! but for a youngster like u, age 50 is like 40yrs away :icon17: can you handle another 40 years of HELL??

Won't lie, I've accidentally cut someone off before because of the horrid blind spots in the Z. I can handle the 40 years, and can escape right now if needed. But leaving my dad and grandmother would have me sobbing for the next 20 years because I'm a softy :icon17:

*I* personally would look at a storage unit or minimum a good outdoor car cover for winter time. I don't think I would leave it out of my sight with "druggies and convicts" around.

My :twocents:

I could technically do a car cover, but with the way our plows drive down roads. The Z would be buried under 5 tons of salt and ice chunks since my driveway literally fits a single car before it hits the street. I was planning on upgrading the garage with flood lights, locks, and a CCTV. Her neighbor hood is gorgeous. Her "friends" are pathetic losers.

kenchan 06-04-2015 03:12 PM

lein- should check out some storage facilities. all u need to do is provide a copy of the title of your car to prove it's urs.

i heard they dont usually take cars that are on a loan or lease though.

I know of 2 locations around me that store cars specifically. I think it's roughly $75 a month for car storage only. It's my fall back option. Storing the car isn't my issue. it's how I get treated and how others treat individuals in my family. Just sickening.

I needed to vent. I feel way better. Going to cruise around later with the windows down and pester the poor girl at Taco Bell for having to lean down 4 feet to deliver my food through the window :roflpuke2:

madwi 06-04-2015 03:17 PM

U-Haul: Storage in Rome, NY at U-Haul Moving & Storage of Rome

Might be worth the $50 or so a month for the couple winter months.

madwi 06-04-2015 03:19 PM

Ship it to Jlo's Car cave for the winter  :icon17:

Did it for 9 years straight with 4 different counselors. I now haven't talked to my mother in 11+ years and I will ONLY talk to my sister at family functions if I am forced to. Some people are just mental.

Thursday Rant to get this off my chest.

My sister has a house (That my dad bought her) that has a garage. She is currently letting her friends parents store tons of crap in it. Not even charging them. I don't have a place to store the Z for the winter. Logical idea is for my sister to clean the garage out just partially so I can store it. No.

She now has the audacity to txt me and ask if I can wipe her laptop so she can sell that. So I tell her I will if she clears out the garage. Her response is that I don't need it until fall. I tell ehr I guess she doesn't need a wiped laptop until fall. She calls me a child and will deadbolt the garage shut...yada yada yada.

My response: (And sorry right now for the wall o' txt incoming)

Nope. Just tired of setting up your laptop for games, fixing it multiple times, loaning you my Blackberry that you destroyed OVER A FIRE, fixing your internet multiple times, fixing your Xbox connection, figuring out your audio problems, and letting you borrow my old PS games. I really don't give a shyt if I don't have the garage for the Z. At least I have a job and am not some {redacted} high school dropout who hangs out with druggies and convicts in a {urine/doodoo} covered house from animals. Or that I got a decent job that supports myself off of my college degree. Let me know when you have a 401k or mutual fund on that GED you don't even have because you're to lazy to get off your *** and earn it. And don't ever think for a second that I'll forgive you for the years of torment you gave me and nanie (grandmother) when living at home. Because at the rate you're going, you'r royale {redacted} later on in life. I'll proceed to be "a child" with financial freedom, a great job, full health benefits I pay for myself, and the safety net of being able to retire by 50 with the way I'm saving on my 401k. Now go read what a 401k is {redacted} and maybe you'll survive later on in life.

I'm sorry guys, but me being in the right or wrong here. She deserves everything she had/has coming to her. Live off of daddies money now, whenever the day comes that he isn't around, I'm curious to see what hell hole she will find.

/rant. Feel free to ban me now hahahahaha

It's sad but true. Blood only runs so deep. At the end of the day, they can definitely just be another person that can easily be forgotten if hated long enough.

This place is more family esque than most. You guys seem to all know one another, can joke without pushing boundaries and help one another out. It's nice seeing that.

As Cliff would say, have a great rest of your day everyone and love you all. ^_^

kenchan 06-04-2015 04:03 PM

fast and easy = 3hrs

kenchan = 3hrs to detail a car?! (impossible!)

I get more even coats and also faster doing it by hand vs machine...

kenchan 06-04-2015 04:03 PM

my full details take 24-28 hrs. i need to break it up into 2-3 days. :ugh:

now ask me again why i dont like motoring my Z in the rain.

really? via machine is the way to go for me. even the natural wax using the red pad. i just rotate it until the wax is nice and burnished evenly.
i use my 3" ro for tight spots.

then wipe off using distilled water + MF detailing towel.

i lol at folks using SpeedShine to remove wax they just put on. more like u just removed 50% of the wax u just put on. :icon17:
