Tracie, definitely look on ebay, I bought my Phillips kit brand new on ebay.

eastwest2300 07-07-2015 09:38 AM

I'd also say expect to pay $100 or more for a decent kit, my phillips kit if I remember correctly ran me $200.

Tracie, just a couple basic but big "Do Not Do's"

1. Dont touch the actual bulb from your kit. (I cant stress that enough). I'd even say before you start handling the bulb, put on some nylon gloves, its that important. Why is it important? The HID bulb and the grease/oil/sweat on your hand and HID bulbs are a bad mix, and you run a very high chance of damaging the bulb, or severely affecting the life of the actual bulb itself.

2. Watch your wiring, your engine gets hot, so wire it correctly and tuck it away like its factory, and mount the ballasts in a good spot, zip ties work well when doing this..

Pintsize725 07-07-2015 09:46 AM

What's the xenon output rating, or whatever, on the Z?

http://www.the370z.com/nissan-370z-w...ml#post3249310

eastwest2300 07-07-2015 09:49 AM

Tracie, some listings that you'll find on ebay, will show your the xenon rating and the picture of its colored output.

Rule #1. SO IMPORTANT!!! People don't realize how getting oil from your fingers on the glass housing drastically reduces the lifespan of the bulb itself.

Anyone ever made scotch eggs before?

Leingod 07-07-2015 10:29 AM

Lunch for today is a mason jar salad. Spring mix, garbonzo beans, dried fruits, feta, sunflower seeds, ferro, and some vinegar basil dressing. All homemade by the GF.

Good idea on having the kid help out. Let us know what you find out

Yeah it's not the clutch assembly. Definitely coming from under the car. Easy to hear in the garage. Happens when the car is on or off. I have the Z1 CSC Elimination Kit and still have the noise.

But down in TX everything is bigger/better right? I'm tellin' ya ... laser kit ... so what if there illegal, this is TX right? BIGGER/ better.

Does bigger/better translate to first?

thanks, mr. jar. yah, i think it might be even the csc tube & dust cover inside the tranny? not sure but functionally the car is fine. just sounds like a pos when i start the car. :icon17: i dont want to be spraying something randomly inside so will have to see.
