Yup. Most likely the case. The phosphor dims over time. Add heat and it accelerates the process.

I bought some 100-watt equivalent LED bulbs, they 're like 18W each.

Modern fixtures are only rated for 60W bulbs and 2 60W bulbs behind frosted glass is like trying to read by candle light if you ask me. :shakes head:

So anyway, for 36 watts of heat (which is still quite a bit) I get 200W of light. Not bad.

madwi 06-18-2015 10:59 AM

Mackinac bridge is pretty long, IDK exactly how long it is, maybe longest suspension bridge

Nismo89 06-18-2015 10:59 AM

I believe it's the longest bridge -tunnel combination in the US . But not the longest bridge . There's a 22 mile one down in Louisiana

madwi 06-18-2015 11:00 AM

In 1998, the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge in Japan became the longest with a total suspension of 12,826 feet. The Mackinac Bridge is the longest suspension bridge in the western hemisphere. The total length of the Mackinac Bridge is 26,372 feet. The length of the suspension bridge (including anchorages) is 8,614 feet.

yah... i have their hardwired one in my G for my old droid. works well but yah expensive for wat it is. i also have their non-powered one in my dd, but i prefer the powered one.

but i suppose if the droid turbo is supposedly going to last days and 15min charge for 8hr run, might not need that hardwiring for most use.

kenchan 06-18-2015 11:07 AM

speaking of crashes, did amtrak ever figure out why the f- the engineer was going like 100mph on that 50mph turn or watever?
