You have a way better sense of humor about these things than I deserve for making comments like that. :tiphat:

I've owned more Civics than one man has a right to. :shakes head:

Davey 06-12-2015 02:49 PM

1993 DX
1999 Si
2005 Si
2011 Ex

That's probably at least two more than any reasonable man should be able to claim

Davey 06-12-2015 02:50 PM

The last two hours of work on a Friday is actually roughly equivalent to 37 regular hours

93 was leight
99 was highly moddable and fun
05 was a slow decline, but still fun and fast for its time
11 shows reasonable financial choices

13 Si is a joke of an N/A car that's bloated and full of features I don't want or need.

Davey 06-12-2015 02:57 PM

Oh, no, the '05 was awful. I thought it would at least be sort of fun as a DD since "It's an Si!" but it understeered like crazy, underpowered, crappy brakes... What a miserable little piece of **** that car was.

I test drove a 2014 Si though, and it was pretty bad. It felt just like my 2011 except with a 1,000 RPM VTEC powerband.

05 just wasn't at heavy. So it at least "felt" like you were sorta going fast. 2013 doesn't "kick in" until 5,500k rpm and all power is lost after 3rd gear regardless of range. My Cobalt felt faster and that only had 172hp stock.

kenchan 06-12-2015 03:03 PM

something about small hondas i like. i dont really like any other brand small cars.. maybe the abarth now. not sure.

I'm gagging right now. I had to floor the GF's EX for a solid 4 seconds before it realized I wanted to go faster than 5mph. And my Si doesn't realize I want to pick up speed until it's 100rpm from redlining.

kenchan 06-12-2015 03:06 PM

must be nice to be ew with s2k and 370z...

Yea, if you like a whole 3 inches of travel and a stick shift the size of a baseball bat. I drove the Z for 2 weeks straight when i got it. I realized I forgot I owned a Civic and went to drive it around a bit. I put it in first and realized my foot was through the wheel well :roflpuke2:

kenchan 06-12-2015 03:09 PM

anyone know where the usdm HRV's are made in? (it's a crv like suv but using the Fit platform).

kenchan 06-12-2015 03:17 PM

I seriously love that knob. Only issue I've had so far is the lead into 3rd sometimes tries to jump into 2/4. Otherwise, it's the perfect size and shape to grasp. And it isn't rounded enough on top that my hand slips off.

Then again, i didn't shred my stock knob like most people :ugh2:

Could be.

Does it have IRS or is it a torsion beam like the Fit?

Seems kind of dumb to have a "SUV" with torsion beam rear suspension.

Leingod 06-12-2015 03:29 PM

I'm out guys. Fishing trip and kayaking. have a good weekend everyone!

if its a fit platform, i think it is torsion beam based. i think it's more a crossover than a suv? (and no i have absolutely no interest in buying this car!).

kenchan 06-12-2015 03:34 PM

my fit is my last junk mobile. next eco-hatch will be my kid's down the road for them to take to college. they can help me carry my hobby car's wheels to the tire shop to get them rewrapped too. kill2 birds with one stone. :D

It's too bad you aren't on FB Ken. You would laugh at these people asking for ridiculous prices on OEM exhausts and base wheels.

Someone wants a grand for "370z dual exhaust, muffler, sway bars, springs."
