Going to look at a new Mazda 3 today, hopefully.
Unless I can get a ride down south before 5pm, I'll be getting the Z towed to my work. |

Guys i need help... I have a friend the recently buy a 2005 Infiniti G35... he have to change the clutch and he dont know if they have to change the flywheel too or if is recommended to doit... My question is.... if the flywheel is in good shape... they have to changed anyway or they can use the same that they have... maybe is a stupid question hahhaha!! I told him that if the flywheel is in good shape why you just dont use it again...
Let me know Mr Kenchan hahhaha!!1 i know you have a manual G in your garage :p |

But in all seriousness, replacing the flywheel is probably a good idea. If enough clutch material has worn away, it can damage the flywheel. Then the damaged flywheel can eat up your new clutch plate. Might as well get it done while the transmission is dropped for the clutch. I think you can resurface a flywheel (kind of like rotors), but I'm not real familiar with the process or it's pros/cons. If it were me, I'd replace the flywheel. |
