See ya Mr Clarkson!!

Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson suspended for 'hitting producer' - CNN.com

And...that sucks.

cooltoy 03-11-2015 01:54 PM

In before the move.

kenchan 03-11-2015 01:56 PM

he wanted to date his producer?

1st 03-11-2015 02:12 PM

That show sucks anyways. Meh...

Limeybastard 03-11-2015 02:14 PM

Goodbye and good riddence. twat.

mishuko 03-11-2015 02:28 PM

oh well... atleast he had a pair and has an opinion.

too many politically correct/sensitive/pansies/hipsters these days.

i may not have agreed with all his tastes (ie aston martin's) but atleast him and the rest of the topgear group gave a relatively decent car review.

famous people in beaters is always great too.

Firebase99 03-11-2015 03:24 PM

I personally love the guy. Totally old school, forget PC, he has just the offensive attitude. Lol. He'll be back Im sure.

TerribleONE 03-11-2015 03:58 PM

The show is nothing without him. Hope they can come to an agreement. The US Top Gear sucks

ufoz8mycow 03-11-2015 05:45 PM

This will last about a week until they realize they have to bring him back. There is already a petition going around with 400,000+ signatures to have him reinstated. I don't think the BBC has the balls to replace him.

zmanelite 03-11-2015 06:08 PM

That show will tank without Jeremy

DEpointfive0 03-11-2015 06:22 PM

The show will go on.

If it tanks, I'm happy to say I got to see Top Gear UK filmed live with the whole cast

Rusty 03-11-2015 09:55 PM

He used to own the rights to the show. He sold the rights to BBC a few years ago for big $$$$ From what I read. They still own him alot. Yes, he can be a bit of an a$$. Also he is like sandpaper. Depends on what side you are on when he starts to rub. LOL IMO, he makes the show. He also decked Piers Morgan during an interview years ago. 'bout knocked him out. LMAO :rofl2:

The US version plane sucks donkey balls. :shakes head:

SwissCheese 03-13-2015 06:11 PM

Is the US version still on? I always assumed it got cancelled a long time ago!

Rusty 03-15-2015 06:51 PM

Clarkson may quit the show.

Clarkson So Upset With BBC He May Quit 'Top Gear': Punch, Cry, Run?

Jordo! 03-15-2015 10:57 PM

Yeesh. Frankly, I think James May is the best overall entertainer/presenter of the lot (definitely check out Man Lab and the hilarious and informative Oz and James series of shows), and Hammond is -- off script -- probably the funniest and cleverest, but Jeremy pretty much IS Top Gear.

Without Jeremy it will be something different, but it will take a lot of work to make it as good or better -- there's a great chemistry between the three of them, but Jeremy can pretty much carry the show on his own charisma (or maybe, "miasma"?), whereas I don't think the other lads can make it work without him. Their few "specials" that have been without Jeremy have not been all that great.... it will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

As James said "...he's a nob... but I quite like him".

Rusty 03-16-2015 02:03 AM

Piers Morgan said he is available. There is no love lost between the two.

zmanelite 03-16-2015 10:51 AM

So it looks like it's gonna happen

UPDATE: Jeremy Clarkson Quits Top Gear, Show Cancelled for Good - autoevolution for Mobile

What I posted on FB with some friends, all 3 need to offer the American Top Gear a contact and bring it here (fire our staff). Continue the great show while giving a big FU to BBC.

09 Nismo#400 03-25-2015 10:23 AM

Also its looking like all three of them are done. They have updated their Twitter and all state former hosts.

They all have said if one goes they all go, so not surprised, plus it gives Clarkson some backing if they do try to get the other 2 to stay it must include him.

TerribleONE 03-25-2015 10:32 AM

Wow..

DEpointfive0 03-25-2015 11:07 AM

Someone call suicide watch for me... This is a sad day...

Especially since I have actually been to a filming... ;-(

Firebase99 03-25-2015 12:32 PM

FML.....my wife just informed of this. I need to sit down.

Firebase99 03-25-2015 12:39 PM

WTF am I gonna watch? Its LITERALLY the only TV I watch. Well that and Football. Remember in "Airplane"..."Calm down, everythings gonna be ok...*slap*". Thats how I feel.

theDreamer 03-25-2015 12:42 PM

Rumors are already floating, Netflix is heard maybe trying to court them to their network, along with that I am sure Amazon is throwing money into the pot to try to get them.

This might be just the break we need, Top Gear 2.0, more money, less BBC, and better access for the world to view!

You got a point. I was thinking earlier "this does present a power vacuum, SOMETHING needs to develop from this". Aces high to a reboot of an already awesome show!!

Yeah, I am sure everyone from American networks to online media outlets are putting options together to court all 3 of them.
Keep the show in the UK and all the quality they already have, but open up the door to money, less red tape, and more. Could just be what the show needed and BBC will miss out, though they have been racking in cash for so many years.

Thats the key, they all need to be together, the 3 of them. They have that AWESOME chemistry. If they go elsewhere i dont see why it wouldnt be just as good, if not better than TG. And everyone knows they will bring the bank with them.

The other 2 have said they will not do the show without Clarkson, and I even think they updated their twitter accounts saying ex-host.

Its really refreshing and touching honestly that Hammond and May stood behind him by saying if one went they all went. Most people on TV are such tools and would jump at anything. Very cool of them.
