$3.85 is about the lowest here in Jersey. This is such an expensive state to live in so its a huge suprise that we have some of the cheapest gas in the nation. Its getting out of control though. I dont know how anyone with a minimum wage job or even slightly higher can afford to commute to work.

my prediction is that by summer my area will be 5.50max for premium..at least that's the budget i set aside for this season for gas. :icon17:

Maybe higher gas prices is a good thing. It might get those a$$holes off the road who can't afford to repair their car or buy insurance but somehow can afford to buy gas, buy beer and go to bingo...........every day! Like BMSmith said, "Who gives a fark.....". If you can't afford it, go electric. Oops, now you have your hydro bill going through the roof. The price of gas is what it is and has been high in price since the '70's. It ain't goin' lower folks.

After ZdayZ I don't care too much because either way is going up especailly in the Summer time. Hope it stay below $5.00 before the end of May.

i thought higher gas prices will reduce traffic on the weekends...but it introduces annoying bicycle traffic in 2lane roads... :ugh2:

they need to tax and make them pay insurance for bicycle riders to get rid of them too. :icon17:

$4.19 for premium Shell V-power. Thinking of just using Murphy's is gas brand really matters? Aren't all gas rated the same for premium at the very least?

m4a1mustang 03-18-2012 12:02 PM

I just paid $4.24 this morning in NOVA.

Octanes should be the same since it's highly regulated. I think the main difference among some brands is the additives. Some of the "lower tier" gas stations actually source their fuel from the big names like Shell, Exxon, etc.

ouch! If you make it up next Saturday, you can fill up here where it should be a little cheaper. I do remember that gas was always cheaper in Manassass though when I live n NOVA.
