It stemmed from a troublesome period a number of years back where bots were spamming the forum. That's also why new users have to now be approved by a moderator before they can even post.

Ah ok, no i completely understand that.

Maybe its worth displaying an error popup or something explaining this to the user when they try to post pictures, as i was none the wiser and the post previewed fine and looked to submit fine. Just an idea to save possible confusion
