Sorry, I didn't answer your question about steering response. Yes, the Z has an excellent steering response. It's not quite as good as the IX but then, in the IX, you sneezed and switched 2 lanes on the freeway. It was nice but a bit of overkill if you ask me.
The big difference you will notice with the Z is how solid the steering/turning is over that of the Evo. The car feels 10X more solid and frankly because it is (without sacrificing weight). I mean let's face it... An Evo is just a Prancer with a turbo and bigger brakes. And like I said, I loved mine to death but it was time to grow up. |
you tape up your evo but not the Z ?

However, given the amount of crap that happened to the front of my Z, it might just get a little tape next time out. ;) |
I took a big step down in speed, but it was completely worth it. I love this car. Welcome aboard!

Man im dreading giving up my evo 9... But the more i think about it, i might have to grow up too just like everyone who traded for the 370Z... I will miss boost!!!

sorry to hijack this thread...
I am officially a 370z owner as of xmas eve... lol traded my beloved 06 Evo 9 MR for a Monterrey Blue with Touring/Nav/Sports package 6 speed and couldnt be any happier... Just my observation... The Evo is faster and handled better, or may be it feels that way. The 370z was a lot quieter and smoother, and very solid! Alot of creature comforts on the Z that wasnt on the evo... I will make a thread for my pictures soon... anyone who is looking to move to a 370z is going to be happy, unless you just want boost and going fast... you can do that too in the Z. |
