I believe OP said he did not want noisy.

But you did not recommend them for the OP. So I think you are good.

HOWEVER, they are pretty pricey. If you can pick up a set at a very good deal, I think it's an upgrade from regular resonated TP's. On the other hand, if you don't care about rasp (and possibly running to the hardware store to find matching nuts and bolts...) and just want power, a set of ebay test pipes is pretty high on the bang-for-the-buck list. |
I'd rather put quality parts on my car than save a few bucks. Because of the input here, I think the ART pipes and G3s will be perfect for me.

Let's not be confused with quality and name brand anymore. Everything is made in China now by almost every manufacturer including exhaust systems. Get the sound you like and go from there. I have grown numb to name brand products over the years. Sad to say really
|
I've yet to hear of an ebay test pipe cracking, whereas I had to have cracks on my last Z's (appropriately named?) Weldina Nismo S-tune exhaust Y pipe several times...
The ART pipes are very nice and sound very good for resonated TP's, but they are not inexpensive... On that note, I would always recommend LTH's (particularly PPE) over TP's, but its definitely more of a chore to get them on... |

Do the PPEs cause rasp?

Love the FI exhaust... I have the non res cf cans with their res test pipes (so a quieter than FP's setup) and love it. I have not had a single girl in the car that complains they are too loud, or that I cant hold a conversation with while driving. And Ive taken plenty of 6 hour road trips in the car with no problem or headaches.
