Thank you ;)

so with stillen headers and your lower intake porting gained 20whp
there is quite a nice jump starting at 6800 to 7500rpm ( that's where the VVEL jump at his max)

there is a steady 2-6whp gain from 2600 to 6000rpm then start to open up 10whp gain at 6800. Then end up with a 20whp gain at peak.

Not bad, I wonder how much of gain is related to the porting.

Was the temperature similar for the before and after dynos?

avery370z 09-20-2014 09:50 PM

From just the extrude honing I don't know but I definitely felt the difference with my butt dyno. Next are the heads and I will post whether it makes power or not. Ptuning s dyno is in an environmental controlled room so the conditions are pretty much the same. I'm just exploring how much power this NA motor can make.

Eclipz 09-20-2014 10:22 PM

what do you plan on doing to the heads? Can you please list the other mods that you have? thanks and good luck with your plans

SlowZ 09-21-2014 09:48 AM

Hmmmm so I guess I was right in believing him this whole time!

avery370z 09-21-2014 12:44 PM

I'm disassembling my heads and going to Extrude Hone them and get a three angle valve job and slap them back on and see what happens. I would like to thank Jon @ Z1 motorsports and Patrick from Ptuning without there help I couldn't make this project work. I will create a sig that list all of my mods.

Damn. My lowers I sell ported sound good then at only $485 plus I do a core refund!

~Reagan

I can do if people help me out. I have ported ones plus throttle bodies ready to start moving. I tried to dyno like the OP and it didn't work out because time was to great between dyno events. What I really need is a local to buy the parts and we all head to the dunk and do everything the same day.

Maybe, maybe not. How much recalibration done with the dyno months or weeks apart? Tuner mess with any settings within the computer of the dyno? I'd still like to see temps and such. Also what's the correction factor setting? These numbers could be the difference of SAE to STD or SAE to STP. Lotta lotta variables here. Like Megan said. ONLY!!!!! Way is same day, same dyno, no touching.

Well guys all I can say is there's some room for this motor to make some more power. Everything is trial and error. But the end result is we are all trying to see some hp gains. Have fun doing it. :happydance:

the problem is i don't know how much porting that company removed from the lower intake .. hehe

because I do have an extra one here and I did wanted to do something similar but its quite low in my priority list.

I never thought I would ditch the N/A world. It seem like the dark force was too much to resist !!!!

get proper headers and you will have even more.

Can you give the specs of how much you bored from your TBs and where you got them done. and how much you extruded from the manifold?

what CAI are you running with your bored TBs? what other mods do you have? sorry for all the questions, just want to get a better idea of what could contribute to your gains. if 340 is legit, then you should consider cams next.

i was wondering this as well
