Meisterschaft / ArmyTrix

After numerous discussions with guys running the full exhaust (mostly G37 owners), I'm nearly convinced that the Meisterschaft is the most aggressive sounding exhaust. I was going F.I., especially with the posted 20/11tq gain on the website. But when I heard the GT Haus it all changed. Just for the heck of it, I called John at Z1 Motorsports before I purchased one just to see what he thought of the exhaust. He told me it offered little to no hp gain. John is a great guy and very knowledgable, but I hate to think such a high end and expensive exhaust offers little to no gain over stock. I've looked for dyno's and no luck. I do plan on going with the Stillen SC after they come out with the new high boost kit. I talked with Mark (from Stillen) and he said the G's and Z's that are running the GT Haus tend to run 10-20hp less than others running different after market setup's. I have seen videos of the Armytrix exhaust and it sounds amazing as well. I know a few guys on this forum are running Armytrix. Any dyno numbers on it yet? Everyone has different taste, but I'm going for the "what in the world just drove by", scare someone type exhaust. The Stillen kit performs better with the stock cats and back pressure so test pipes aren't an option. It's hard to justify spending $2500-$3000 on an exhaust no matter what it sounds like if there is no performance gain. Anyone care to shed some light on this?

Turbo with open dump will give you that wtf just drove by look. Those exhaust are $$$.

Those opinions may be a bit biased. It should offer some gains. Maybe not as much as a stillen catback or FI, but who cares? Its a marginal difference on NA cars anyways. I bought my Motordyne primarily for the sound.

You are convinced wrong my friend. Tomie is most the aggressive, should have asked John while he was on the phone which one he thought provides the most aggressive. Lol. I run the same set-up that they run on their race car, minus the Z1 shorty headers. I plan on going Tomie headers.

Look get the AAM Y pipe/ mid pipe combo that has been proven to make power and run it with the GT Haus axle / muffler and that's cheaper then buying the entire Meisterschaft system. And it's still loud!

I litterally just posted something about trying to get a customer here to put the full Meisterschaft system on their Z and do dyno runs before and after. How would you like to visit AZ in the summer? lol. When you ask GThaus they give a vague "10% power gain on most systems" answer, but i would love to see actual results. I personally love the Meisterschaft on just about everything, not just the 370's, but thats just my opinion. I have heard the Tomei as well, and it is loud, i just cant stand the gigantic single canister look.

Meisterschaft / ArmyTrix

I'm pretty new to the forum and don't know how to reply to everyone in one post, so sorry about that. John from Z1 did mention the Tomei exhaust now that I think about it haha I just forgot to look it up. I had the Soho single exit on my g35 (it won the ZdayZ exhaust competition last year) and it sounded incredible. But I want a dual on my 370. And to the guy that mentioned 10-20hp isn't really felt, that's true! I just want proof that there is little gain and no loss. I've heard Motordyne sounds good. And please find someone to test it out Vivid! I live in Tennessee and that's too far away lol And to ZKraken22, haven't thought about pairing it up with another mid-pipe! Good idea.

Yeah youtube has videos of garageline midpe / y pipe combo with the GT Haus muffler sounds so good and also one of the setup I mentioned before.

Thank you for the info my man! I'll look into that route.

Exactly, I have a thread with plenty of pictures about the Garageline Xpipe and mid pipe, that is only 300$ so i would definitely check out mating that up to the GTHAUS axle back. if you check out my thread, there are a few videos of it in there, i am working on getting the video of it with short tails as well. so check it out. i will keep updating it as i go.

I personally have owned the GTHAUS full system on my last 370, There are videos of it on you tube also. ZILVER146 is my username. not a lot but enough to be able to hear all the combos i have had.

My personal experience of GTHAUS dyno, untuned it got me from 291/233 to 302/240 with the full cat back and the K&N drop in with mishimoto post MAF tubes,

I'll keep an eye out for your updates. Tbh, I've never even heard of Garageline. But I'll check it out!

I've spent some time researching the exhaust. It's only 18lbs! And a 43lb weight reduction over stock.. Incredible. I need to hear this in person. Did you have to slightly adjust it to fit correctly?

ZKraken22 08-06-2014 09:41 AM

And when is stillen thinking about coming out with the high boost kit?

diego@vossen 08-06-2014 09:47 AM

I have been through many different exhaust systems (HKS Hi-Power, Full tanabe, 3 Different Fast Intentions setups & My favorite GTHAUS) I chose my setup primarily for sound and being lowered car friendly, the gains between a true dual setup, H-Pipe configuration or Y-Pipe was not enough to make me choose one over another. I purchased my Meisterschaft exhaust mainly for the sound it delivers and with almost 2 years with it, I could never swap it for anything else.

FPenvy 08-06-2014 10:08 AM

meister and tomei are the most aggressive? nahhhhhh FI is if done right.

i'll just leave this here....
