well you go find one and we can compare. i get what you're trying to say but i still dont think it would sound anything like my set-up. every system is designed differently and in most cases uses different materials. there's many types and gauges of steel that could easily change the sound of an exhaust.

you're thinking to general rather than down to the detials of the system that can easily change the sound of the exhaust note.

How would you like to visit AZ in the summer? lol. When you ask GThaus they give a vague "10% power gain on most systems" answer, but i would love to see actual results. I personally love the Meisterschaft on just about everything, not just the 370's, but thats just my opinion. I have heard the Tomei as well, and it is loud, i just cant stand the gigantic single canister look.

If y'all need a car to dyno and you're installing/uninstalling...

I'm still partial to my Berk setup, but still... wouldn't mind hearing others.

I think it's time to get a new potato to take your videos with.

And I definitely wouldn't say FI = ****. Sorry.

Well, what we are trying to do is get a car with stock exhaust in here, and have someone purchase a full Meisterschaft setup and do a dyno run before and after so we can finally have hard numbers on what they are putting out. The exhaust would be priced very aggressively as to make it worth someones while.

Here are the guidelines

I don't know if you've ever had an FI exhaust before (I'm not even going to check your previous posts) but to say that this exhaust is 'shlt' is uncalled for. This isn't your cheapo 300 dollar Manzo exhaust (lol).

It may sound/perform different than what you like/expect, but still not cool to say such things.

1. I wasn't recording, I was driving, not my potato.
2. I have installed the FI exhaust system on another member's Z, and driven several other Z's with it, I stand by my original statement.
3. FI fanboys are pretty much equivalent to apple fanboys, yea you can still get to the same porn sites I can, but you paid a **** ton more to do it with a cool logo and a frappe latte.

It's cat-back piping and a pair of cans and tips, not neurosurgery, don't know who in their right mind would pay so much for it.

FI isn't that expensive, especially compared to the two that the OP is referring to (Meister and ArmyTrix). Also, I'm sure there's many more exhausts that are more expensive than FI (HKS comes to mind)

PS - I'm a Samsung/Android fanboy :icon17:

Oh, P.S... the above post was "just my opinion", so that makes everything I said okay... /enddisclaimer

I agree that you get what you pay for in most cases. The full FI system is like what? $1200? Meisterschaft is $2500.. But visually, if you look at both of them next to each other, you can see why one is twice as much.

Any exhaust company that's also gonna make a systems for Lamborghini or Ferrari, is probably gonna be really high quality. Just sayin

TBH, I think my Berk system (though only with HFCs, so a bit less raspy) sounds better than this system. And it costs a lot less.

As for the FI being overpriced, I am pretty sure the Meisterschaft and ArmyTrix (or however you spell them, I'm too lazy to look) are the ones you should be saying are overpriced and you're only paying for a logo.

As for them making something for a Lambo or Ferrari - that's how they're getting you to pay that ridiculous price for a similar system that you can get for $12-1500. You've been suckered.

And tell your friend to get a new potato! It's still nice to hear the exhaust notes clearly regardless of how I feel about the prices.

Oh and yours sounds like a bunch of frat boys that have had each others a**es blown out by each others "daddys." .... no restrrictions!!

FI is the best exhaust in terms of value when you merge cost, sound, and quality. And some inexpensive modifications to it can make it damn beastly, as FP has proven.

Armytrix exhaust is ridiculously overpriced IMO. I'm sure they use high quality materials - they better for the price. But adding cutout valves is pretty gimmicky and doesn't justify the price (a shop could install some QTP cutout valves on a stock exhaust for a few hundred bucks). I'm sure it sounds fine, but I bet the sound doesn't justify the price either when you compare it to other options.

At least the GT Haus Meisterschaft exhaust looks as good as it sounds. I love that exhaust, but I'm way too practical to spend that kind of money on one. For those that do, I'm sure they love it. To each their own. But don't think people can't get just as much enjoyment out of their exhaust for significantly less $$$.

JARblue 08-06-2014 02:02 PM

Btw... I think it's awesome what vivid is offering to get some good data on the Meisterschaft system. Kudos :tiphat:

Now, i am a little biased when it comes to the Meisterschaft because i absolutely love the sound, and the guys at GThaus are great, but i have to disagree with you on this. Meisterschaft is not similar to a $1200 system, and they are not getting you to pay the high price just because they also make systems for high end cars. The 370z exhaust is made in the same place, with the same quality and craftsmanship as the exhaust thats going on the Bentley that they made right before it. Do you think that someone with a $400,000 car is going to put anything thats not top quality on their vehicle? Dont think so. I deal with just about all the REALLY high end exhaust manufacturers (supersprint, capristo, akrapovic, novitec, fabspeed..to name a few) and none of them make anything for the 370Z. My point is, that i'm happy that there is a exhaust manufacturer thats considered "high end" that takes the time to even develop a system for the Nissan. And i would be willing to bet that everyone on here that owes their exhaust would agree.
