Then make sure the mounting bolts are tight and that the damper is tight on the bracket. If you can't fix it, get a new one. It's probably best not

Then make sure the mounting bolts are tight and that the damper is tight on the bracket. If you can't fix it, get a new one. It's probably best not to remove them unless you are racing the car - going by the name, they are probably for NVH (see 6MT's comment above).
