Definitely a good job on the review thats for sure:tup:. I am one who would like to do the same. It's this sort of thing that helps so many others out.

I have quick question for anyone really. Are you guys getting someone to hold the Video Camera for the in Car videos. If not how are you going at mounting it.

Props again to Tony for this great Exhaust:tup:

Yes, get someone to hold the camera for you. This is a great way to ensure that your video is still!

kdo2milger your exhaust looks and sounds great. And thanks for all the pics and videos. Now that you have the F.I. exhaust did you feel the (SRI) Takeda Intakes work better (Louder, flow better?). I have the Takeda Intakes on my car I did not dyno it but the car feels stronger with the SRI compared to the stock air boxes. I am thinking that once I get an after market exhaust and HFC the Short Ram Intake will really do its job.

My theory is that the SRI should perform just as well as the long tube intakes once the exhaust is opened up. Yes the Long Tube Intakes like G3 and Injen will get colder air but the Short Ram Intake should flow better once the exhaust is uncorked.

Thank You :tiphat:

actually the cbe drowns out the tekades now :icon17: i can barely here them when i get up in the rpms...

your right, they will compliment each other especially with hfcs...

im waiting for Tonys headers to complete the breathing..then i am going to look into getting my hood ventilated like Zeto did, and then look at getting some ram air vents installed in the bumper like the ones ive seen on later model 350zs..that should give it plenty of fresh air and allow heat to dissipate from the engine bay at the same time...datsun put the hood vents on the 280zs back in the day, and nissan did in on the GT-R..so not sure what they were thinking not giving us the vents knowing it gets pretty darn hot in the engine bay...

Thanks for that guys. Hopefully the Wifey will be ok with sitting in the front seat holding the Camera. She'll only have one hand for the Jesus bar then (no dirty ref' please:p). I just thought there might of been a way to mount without some one else holding it.

I was thinking of something like what is on the Mines car for my G3's in some way and hopefully that gets it some more direct airflow , which in turn should help things even more.

I wouldn't mind what is on the R35 GTR, but dont want anything TOO over the top and destroying the look of the car. Will have to have a look at what Zeto did

That is exactly what I am after to do:tiphat:. The Mines intakes or similar and what Zeto has done is perfect actually. The only thing is I would have to mount the Mines closer to the Centre to get a real benefit with the G3 Intakes.

CCCLXXZ 09-10-2009 08:04 PM

Those Mine's intake ducts are rather long and extend into the support right to the intake box, I would assume this is the same location the stillen inlet tubes are exiting the engine bay and routing over the support beam.

You can always cut into the bumper and use the same mesh Zeto did on his hood right infront of the intakes.

This might not be such a bad idea as you will also be able to get a more ideal location. Although might have to careful in what size mesh is used. Thanks for the though.

Back to you kdo'.

Either chuck them up on say Photobucket/imgeshack etc (grab the URL and go ). or you could add them to a new Gallery on here. The other way to attach in a post is to Click on Manage Attachments/Choose File(on your PC)/then Upload.

Then when you hit submit reply all should be there or preview post first to check.

Yeah I'm going to have to try photobucket because simply attaching them like I do on other forums for some reason won't work on here for me.

fast intentions

Nice work! Sounds sweet! I'm sold on Fast Intentions. Do you think if I installed the system with or without the 12" resonators the loudness in the cabin would be that much different? Would you recommend wrapping the pipes from the cats back to isolate the heat from the floor ?

No, do not wrap the stainless steel in heat wrap. When moisture gets in between the tubing and the wrap over time it will make the tubing brittle and weak! If you stick with the stock cats and go with either the 12" or 18" resonators it will be quieter inside the cabin. Obviously if you go with the 18", it will be the quietest.

Do not hesitate to contact me directly if you need anything...

Thanks, Tony

BOLIO 671 03-11-2010 09:56 PM

Excellent review, pics and vids....I noticed that you in the pics of the install you still had stock cats attached to this monster....Sounds pretty loud with stock cats on...I can imagine if you change out your stock cats to HFC's or TP's....I can say that the cars looks are now matched by its sound...adds a great compliment
