Togo 09-06-2009 06:42 PM

Yeah I used to drive my best friends 2001 GT with a SLP loud mouth CBE. That thing was LOUD. I nearly totaled it and when we were fixing it back up and buying parts for it, we got a ton of after market parts instead. It came out really nice. Lemme find a pic...

Togo 09-06-2009 06:44 PM

Ok lol this is all I got,

Thank you for doing the very detailed review and the car sounds great with the straight X Pipe. Enjoy it and do not hesitate to ask if you need anything else. I will make sure that your review gets added to the product review section in my new website...

Hey Tony Thank you man! I really do appreciate your service and support here!

- The Exhaust is awesome!
- The fit and finish is Great!
- Your Service and support has been stellar!

The hardest part about the whole deal was the waiting ;) however it was beyond well worth it!

All I can say now is..."Bring on the Long Tube Headers!" :driving:

Anytime my friend!

The longtube thread hopefully will be launched by the end of the month.

kdo2milger 09-07-2009 05:48 PM

eagerly awaiting that thread indeed!

EDIT: Added 4 more pictures of the washer mod to align the right side tip down a little...

I had to use three washers per bolt because two didnt seem to lower it enough...

NewYorkJon34 09-07-2009 09:31 PM

I can't wait for the long tube headers thread, I was going to buy the F.I. hfcs, but I figured why buy the hfcs when the headers would replace that anyway. I hope tony makes the, catted so its not super loud.

We have talked about doing a few different versions. Do not rule any option out. You must stay tuned...

Not to speak on their behalf, but it won't be too wise of a business decision to only release catless long-tubes. Take a look at how many on this forum have high-flow cats vs. test-pipes, and that will give you some indication of the market share they will be missing out on.

Every reputable manufacturer of aftermarket long-tube headers for most other cars offer cats as an option. I can't see why Fast Intentions will be any different.

Alot of work, Between my designer, my programmer and me I think it will turn out great but it is taking longer than I would like. Hopefully it will be ready to launch soon!

On the flipside: Headers are a royal PITA to install on our cars, and the running opinion among us that installed the Stillen short-tubes is that at least without ECU tuning, they aren't worth the expense and install effort.

Obviously the long-tubes will hopefully do better than the shorts (probably both pre- and post- ECU tuning for them), but they're still going to be a relatively high cost/pain:gains ratio compared to most other available bolt-ons. That probably means most of the market won't bother with them, and that for those that do want to go the extra mile for the headers, dealing with the lack of HFCs (using O2 fakes or ECU tuning to delete the code, dealing with legality in some states, etc) is a relatively minor issue to be concerned about, all things considered. Just my $0.02.

kdo2milger 09-08-2009 12:10 PM

man i miss the old days when headers were just that...nowadays cars have to have all the pollution controlled stuff...:ugh:

hopefully Tonys will be o2 sensor compliant, atleast so as not to throw CELs...

Will we be able to create and order our F.I. Exhausts through the new site? Cus I want the 18" CF exhaust but rather pay for it through paypal or st8 from my debit card then having to use a credit card.
