I have a problem with my intakes.

Any help would be appreciated, noticed my tube broke off when my service engine soon light came on. Here are the pics, youll see what I'm talking about.

The circled part with the arrow pointing to it in the picture is the part i need replaced.

If you cant see the pictures, you can find them in my photo albums.

I was told I need to buy another stock intake to replace the tube that is snapped. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone want to sell me just that part? :D

Mine broke off, and so I carefully removed the piece stuck on the hose and the filter from the other hose that its attached to

And got "Krazy Glue" to glue them together and once it was dry I very carefully installed it back on.

This way at least can buy you time to either find one used or order the hose with that part.

I honestly think its BS that they DONT sell that part by itself if that the case.

BTW mine has been broken for over a year :ugh2:

Or you can replace those with these: Z1 Silicone Side PCV Breather Hose set for Aftermarket Intakes

Thanks for your help. Appreciate it.

My friend at Nissan told me I had to buy the tube in order to get that piece. So that means I gotta shell out $150 for the right side of the intake. I gotta get the tube in order to get the piece.

Are you talking about the little rectangular boxes that have a tube that goes to the intake, as well as to the block? Those are replaced by the Z1 hoses completely.

You could also just run an open crankcase mini-filter and plug the hole in the intake tube.

i just deleted those pieces for my intake install

just buy some rubber hose from autozone or something, its dirt cheap to get

Those are intake resonators and you can take them off completely. I took mine off when I installed my Gen 3's you will notice a bit deeper exhaust note at least I did with the stillens. As mentioned above you still will need to route the breather hose back up to the stock intake hoses or get the filters.

PM Me if you want to keep it stock I have mine sitting in the garage.

You need this piece:

Dorman/PCV Valve Elbow (47032) | AutoZone.com

Swap out OEM for this -- problem solved

That site says only for aftermarket intakes. I'm guessing this is because the OEM accordion hose has a female hole and aftermarket intakes have a male nipple welded on. If the OP has a OEM intake he will need a sleeve or connector to go into the OEM accordion hose and into the new Z1 hose

The OEM piece is a restrictor. You're not getting any weird issues? I'd love to see a log or oil catch can or something that that restrictors supposed to restrict.

Resonators or restrictors?

OP, since you broke yours, can you cut it open? I'd like to see inside.

I had one break on me on my 1st 370Z. It's hollow -- just a right angle breather tube -- nothing special. If it cracks you get a vacuum leak, which is bad. That replacement breather tube from autozone does the trick.

Interesting. So what the hell is inside the Z1 hose?

If its routed in the same locations -- I'm guessing nothing. Its probably just a flexible tube that runs between the IM port and the rubber intake tube.
