putting any aftermarket part on any car will void your warrenty IF it causes the problem u need work on. For example. I had a 2007 Cobalt SS Supercharged. I had a Injen Cold Air Intake. For some reason my reverse lights wouldnt turn on when i went into reverse. Brought it to the dealership, they said the switch box is broken and thats what turns the lights on. They said i wouldnt be covered under warrenty because of aftermarket intake. They tried to ******** me which 99% of dealerships will do. I said "warrenty is only voided if the aftermarket part causes the problem" they said "that is true" i said "well tell me how a intake causes reverse lights not to come on"...they then covered the repaires under warrenty.
So yes u can put a borla exhaust system on your Z...but if something breaks on your car and it is caused by the exhaust, your warrenty will be voided, if its not caused by the exhaust then you are fine. |
