Vector Intake?
I bought my car used a few months ago and there's an aftermarket intake installed, its labeled with a red "Vector" logo. I've looked everywhere but i cant find a single post about it.
I'm planning to buy a G3 intake/test pipes and then get an uprev tune (already have an invidia cbe), i just want to know if anyone has heard of this product. It seems like its probably a cheap Intake, but im curious. Thanks! |

I've got some stock airboxes that could use a home...
Don't have the snorkel part of them tho, I'm sure someone else could supply those. |

I wanted to experiment with my short rams with the air box but I didn't want to cut up my only stock part. |

Thanks for the responses guys! After further investigation, they're actually "Spectre" intakes. Its a sri. If i were to add k&n cones would that equate similar results as MAF tubes+k&n cones?
|
Isn't Spectre the brand that's sold at Autozone? A SRI intake will be worse than stock. Get some OEM airboxes, maf tubes and K&N drop-ins, and youll have 90% of the power of a CAI.
|
Yeah, OP, I think someone eBayed the intakes then went to VatoZone and bought "better" filters
|
....well....at least it had a cool name.
|
Those look like Takata SRI actually.

Thanks again for the help guys. |
Yeah, any open SRI is a poor design, I actually proved the Takata lost power especially as the intake temp increases.
I would say if you are not going for a good solid CAI then the OEM boxes plus modshack tubes are a good upgrade. |
