i'm gonna lose my brains if the R2C give negative results (dyno'ed by Tin) like theDreamer got with Takeda's...lol
|
Oh wow, I totally f'd up with the video. Guess we're going to have to wait until I go back with my FI exhaust installed. Let's just say when I thought I wasn't recording, I was. When I thought I was recording... I wasn't. :roflpuke2:
I did get Tony's car, though. :tiphat: |

Just use Tony's car as an example... 275whp on a Dyno Dynamics and 307whp on a DynoJet. |
what about dynapack???how do those turn out??

I really don't know much about those. I do know that the Dyno Dynamics machine is known as the "heart breaker dyno" because it reads so low compared to others. The operator at the shop told Tony and I that FI 350's that put dyno in the high 300s on his machine will read mid 400s on DynoJets... so you can see how that'd be heart breaking.

And, keep in mind that with his CBE and HFCs he will whoop the crap out of mine in mid-range power. It's not all about peak hp. |
I thought you said he ran 270, and you ran 265?
It still should be based on percentage gains: a dynojet stock runs about 280, tony got about 10% increase with his mods that put him to 307...so on a dyno dynamics if he ran 258 stock, he still should have seen a 10% increase of 26hp with a result of 284. same with the injen, if they dyno'd 280 stock on a DJ, 15 hp is roughly 5%. so you should have seen 5% gain over 258, or 12-13hp. |
Either way, you blow thedreamer's results outta the water! :rofl2:

What we can say is that, on a DynoJet, expect around a 15whp gain. On a DynoDynamics machine, expect less. I'm sure a Mustang dyno would give us totally different readings as well. |
% isn't linear. It is the way I have read nearly everywhere to analyze gains on any dyno. % increase over base.

btw, not trying to start an argument or anything, just going off of what I have learned about dyno's in the past.
I wish all dyno's would get calibrated to the same measurements so we didn't have to try and compare apples to oranges :shakes head: |
