And you really won't feel any with the CAIs on these cars. The factory airbox is very well designed and doesn't really start to bottleneck until around 7,000 RPM. Most of gains are in that last 500 or so RPM of the rev range.

That's not to say it's not worth it, but on it's own the CAI will not give you much. Combine it with exhaust and a tune to take advantage of the extra airflow and then you'll really see gains.

If you are really concerned with peak numbers, the Stillen G3 intakes definitely seem to be the best out there in that regard. You could expect to gain a few more hp with the Stillens than with the Injens.

A million "Thank you"; you gave me peace of mind!

I agree about the custom intake vs the OEM intake, the OEM is fairly well designed. I have a CBE upgrade and its gains were very impressive. So, I have the sound and some gain, money well spent I believe. I am not a racer, I just love speed when it can be of no threat to anyone else. I think I am done with upgrades. Thanks dude! Oh, if I can ask, why do you no longer have your Z? :tiphat:

No problem, man.

As for the Z... I had a lot of fun with it and decided I wanted to give the new 5.0 a try. So far so good. ;)

That's funny lol. I actually test drove both a new 5.0 and the 370z and ended up with the Z.

The 5.0 was definitely fast as hell, just couldn't get over the horrible interior and the fact that I live in Texas means everyone and their mom owns a mustang.

Not trying to bash it, it was a really fun car for the money, just not my thing I guess.

Different strokes for different folks. ;)

If you tested a base I could understand your interior concerns. The Premium package is pretty damn plush though. :yum:

Just curious, when it comes to the installation of the injen windshield resevoir, was there an electrical harness from the bottom oem resevoir that is not installed on the Injen reservoir at all? I remember installing the side motor plus it's electrical harness and the water line, but there wasn't a place for the harness that I took off the bottom part of the oem resevoir..

Yes, the Injen tank doesn't have a predrilled hole for the washer fluid level sensor. One of the members here drilled a hole for it, though.

Ok got it. Thought I did it right. Guess it's not required. Thanks.

No problem.

One thing about the washer reservoir I figure worth mentioning... it probably isn't a bad idea to paint the brackets... the material that injen supplied rusts pretty heavily.

Has anyone come from stillen g3 to the injen, can you comment on sound and feel after install ?

I dislike that they point down increasing the possibility of hydrolock?

Very true.

Your point is exactly why I went with a Stillen Gen 3.
