Good writeup, and great pics and vid!

giving the ecu time to adjust is a good idea, I'm still allowing mine time to adjust.

I was getting around 17.4 mpg before the Takedas, and immidiately after I was getting around 14.2 mpg. I am up to 15.2 mpg at this time. I will wait till I get the FI catback and do a before and after dyno then. I really feel like the ecu needs more time to lean out.

17 MPG? Are you WOT all the time? I'm getting about 25 MPG with mixed driving.

i get around the same avg 17 18 mpg i hardly ever go wot its just the gas mileage sucks haha.

yep, all city driving here...no highway cruising...

Red370 08-16-2009 10:09 PM

my avg says 20.2mpg, all city, I usually stay in a high gear/low rpms, I always shift @ 2k, this should help some of you lead-footers out there.

Great write/pics/video up there m4a1mustang, like yourself I'm on the order list for the F.I. Exhaust. Also getting intakes coming, hopefully delivered in the next couple of days.

Cant wait to see the after Dyno.

Holy! I pat myself in the back when I get more than 14.

Caravanshaka 08-17-2009 12:53 PM

I get 23 combined city/highway when most of my highway is in stop and go traffic...

m4a1mustang 08-17-2009 01:27 PM

I'm monitoring fuel consumption and it looks normal.

I'm right there with you. Last tank I averaged 13 mpg. I will take a little video with my cell next time I fill up. Its pretty funny.

m4a1mustang 08-17-2009 08:21 PM

My fuel mileage has dropped too... because I can't keep from gunning it! In a moderate to hard pull these intakes sound absolutely AWESOME between 3k-5k. Especially in third gear it seems. It sounds so good... The car sounds so much more beefy and you feel like the engine is really talking to you now.

Red370 08-17-2009 09:13 PM

good, about damn time it starts answering my advances... wait, did I just say that?

Red370 08-17-2009 09:15 PM

so do you "feel" like youve gained any juice?

Feels like it pulls harder to redline and there may be a little more mid-range grunt. Will confirm on Saturday.

Red370 08-17-2009 09:39 PM
