Injen CAI's?

just seen these at intensepower, looks very similar to the G3's, HP claims are similar too, anyone have these yet? know what kinda filters they use? Install similarities? Locations of filters?

I'm actually leaning towards the Injen CAI as well. I just like the fact that you don't have to drill any kind of a permanent hole to install. The washer fluid relocation is very simple and is provided with the kit. The g37 guys saw 16+ whp gains which makes sense and is in line with the stillen g3. It's personal preference at this point - they do the same thing and both do it very well. One question i have about the injen is whether or not they use a dry filter.

I was curious about that as well, I had an oiled filter on my G35 and it would leave residue on my MAF sensor and made it idle funny, dont want that!

Injen uses a dry filter.

woh...that is a deal sealer. Link showing the use of dry filter? Thanks.

Delicious. Now do I want polished or powder-coated black? Hmm.

Red370 08-10-2009 10:33 AM

polished hands down, ESPECIALLY if your Z is red. I'm wondering why this kit is more expensive than the G3's, seems like slowly but surely more and more manufacturers are developing products for us, glad I didnt start going mod crazy right when this car came out, I bet soon there will be better exhaust systems, intakes, HFC's, headers, etc, than whats currently available, and most likely at a lower cost as the competition heats up! Not knocking those already heavily modded Z's out there, but its always good to give the model a year before you start piling on the mods just so guys like me cant one up ya for half the cost !)

Well the price I was quoted is less expensive than the G3s.

Red370 08-10-2009 10:44 AM

really? what store? at intensepower I think theyre asking for $560

theDreamer 08-10-2009 10:46 AM

Send some PMs to vendors who say they have it, they might have a better deal than what is on the website.

The forum vendors always post special forum prices. There's a thread in the intake/exhaust section of vendor classifieds. PM Intensepower for the special pricing.
