TeamARK 06-02-2010 06:25 PM

Next shipment is coming in June 28- July 2nd.

TeamARK 06-12-2010 03:51 PM

Our 3rd batch is coming !! Best exhaust !!

fullmonty 06-12-2010 04:17 PM

Ok I got 1 issue with it. I wish the ARK stickers that came in the box were smaller so I could put them in the tiny quarter windows. Aside from sticker size though, this exhaust is by far the best one out there.

BalanBro 06-12-2010 08:38 PM

Just got mine installed with Berk HFCs. Sounds sweet IMO.

The burnt tips are not the blue you commonly see, but more of a grayish purple. It goes AWESOME with the 40th Anniversary graphite. It looks like it was custom made for the color. I'm assuming it would looke equally as nice on PG.

Zsteve 06-12-2010 09:15 PM

did these provide a weight reduction too from the stock ones?

TonyBPD 06-13-2010 12:43 PM

It seems the ARK exhaust is a favorite among a lot of us from NJ. I've seen at least 5 or 6.

Boost_lee 06-13-2010 04:05 PM

Anyone running the ark grip cbe with hfc's? If so, how is the sound changed and any sound clips available?

CrownR426 06-13-2010 04:14 PM

i want to see the dyno of this exhaust.
any got dyno's of a stock 370z with just these exhausts on?
+20, im assuming?

LOL, that's kinda true. Honestly, what did it for me is awesome looking welds, nice x-pipe design, good balance on loudness (although my HFC's kinda pushed that towards the loud side), nice quality tips and a great price to boot.

The only negative I have is that the rear flanges are at the lowest point on the exhaust, so you do need to be a bit careful. For me, dropping is probably out of the question due to the crappy roads in the northeast. I'll probably do the "hose clamp on the hanger" trick to raise the exhaust a little bit for some added clearance.

I was afraid it would be scraping along, but I haven't had an issue at all with it. If it scrapes the exhaust is going to be the least of your worries I think. You'd have to bottom out something awful, with the wheels hitting the wheel wells practiclly. I never really considered dropping the car anyway because of the crappy road conditions in NJ, that and I'd never be able to get my car in or out of the driveway. I've gotten alot of compliments on the way the exhaust looks, it certainly does look badass.
-And Tony, you're right it really is popular with all of us in the Dirty, I don't think I've see more than 2 people who have it outside of NJ!

TeamARK 06-14-2010 12:50 PM

NJ representing! With our Type 1 in the production line. We will hold a dyno day to test both systems with baselines.

Also if there are anyone that is willing to do a baseline and our exhaust (Providing the media), we will reimburse you the dyno fee. Free dyno~

Big J 07-09-2010 05:57 PM

Are there any more vids on the type 2? I'm really liking this exhaust but I'm afraid it's not as loud as I'm wanting to go.

fullmonty 07-09-2010 06:01 PM

I'm gonna try to get a hold of a video camera actually

Big J 07-09-2010 06:06 PM

Awsome, Please do!! Do you have another exhaust you could compare it to or think it's louder than?

fullmonty 07-09-2010 07:03 PM

Not that I've heard in real life. As the only other Zs I've seen, which is rather limitied had stock exhausts. I can tell you for what its worth it seems that it is not much louder than stock at idle, however a much better, agressive tone. Its what the Z should of sounded like from the factory

Big J 07-13-2010 02:17 PM

Hey, did you ever get that video?

fullmonty 07-13-2010 02:46 PM

Not yet, gota borrow a video camera from somebody

TeamARK 07-13-2010 06:35 PM

Come down here, we'll shoot your car for you.

fairladyZ34 07-13-2010 06:47 PM

we'll have to get a meet here in NJ and have someone bring a video camera or something

I agree!! The sound is awesome, but the sound that isn't so good is the passenger side pipe rattling against the cross member, which i think is caused by my exhaust have the 2 backward flanges.

Here's my exhaust:

Notice how the flanges are angled in the same direction on the x pipe piece.:shakes head:

Here's the picture of the exhaust from ark:

Those are how the flanges should be I'm assuming. The couple people that I have spoke to have sent me pictures of theirs and they are fine, so I guess mine is just the oddball.

Just going to show that no exhaust is 100% perfect, looks like somebody made a boo boo. I'm sure ARK will come through for you

TeamARK 07-27-2010 04:33 PM

The exhaust you have in comparison to yours in the G37 unit which is very similar to the 370z unit..
I just want to be clear that you are talking about the thin cross member bar as oppose to the oem sway bar.

Alex

TonyBPD 07-27-2010 05:49 PM

He's referring to the flange that is circled. Mine is the top pic.

Yes I am talking about the exhaust hitting the thin cross member, it is pretty much almost sitting on the cross member.

Just checked the G37 forum and it looks like the flanges are the exact same way for that exhaust as they are for the 370z. So it looks like someone has made a mistake and installed 2 flanges backwards on mine.:shakes head: Also if mine was actually a g37 exhaust i would think that it would probably be a little to long to install on the 370.
