High-Flow Cat Question....
Really n00b question but..
I have been reading that High Flow cats give out an unpleasant exhaust smell. How bad is it? I know its "Illegal" for street use :driving:. If its fun its more than likely illegal. I plan on doing the popular bolt ons within a few weeks. IE: Stillen Intake, High Flow Cat, & Exhaust. Suggestions?? |
As long as you're in your car, and not standing behind it, smells just fine.
|
They don't smell bad, it's the test pipes that smell bad.
I think they are a few popular bolt on's Berk HFC Stillen GEN 3 long tube intakes Berk CBE or F.I. CBE Thats whats selling |
Thanks for the rapid replys

its not illegal, it's still a catalytic converter.
only illegal if you pull it out completely....lol |
Can I piggyback on this thread? I don't want to start a new one.
Has anyone here ever gutted a HFC? I'd imagine you just end up with a resonated test pipe of sorts? |

Meh...
When I got busted for running an Off-Road X-pipe on my Mustang I bought two cheap cats, sliced them open, removed the guts, and JB-welded them around the O/R X. Painted my welds silver and convinced my dad I installed HFCs. :) |
