Intake manifold project

This was brought up on another thread ....and after more and more requests for info.. I have stated a new thread.
I am looking to release a new line of performance products over the next several weeks. These parts and products will be designed and produced in conjunction with the race shop.
One of the new products that is currently on the chalkboard is a new intake manifold...it is my personal number 1 goal.
Ideas, material and overall design are still in the early design stages but initial ideas are a combination of alum runners and a carbon box. Overall performance based...but easy on the eyes. It will work with the front strut bar.
Just as a reference...the current Ford DP airbox and the ALMS Viper GT airbox were both designed an produced by Doran.
A main concern we are looking at it ...is pricing and design cost.I can confirm this will NOT be an inexpensive part to design , produce or sell....but will be awesome.

The first part that I am releasing over the next couple weeks ...is a set headers. These headers will be like no other on the market...and will be absolutely bitchin...based on our current race header...but thinking outside the box.

My goal is to produce the absolute best ...bench mark setting products on the market. For those that have seen or held the Doran racing front upper control arms... And know what type of quality they bring to the table...this new line of products will be the exact same quality...but with pure Power in mind.
Stay tuned

Looking forward to seeing it. Will this be for both FI and NA, or will you be optimizing it for NA use?

I am drooling right now.

THANK GOD! someone not just releasing another damn catback for our cars. we need NA engine products. we need innovation with this platfrom. affordable intake mani's and larger tb's are a must to make power

Really hope the headers aren't as expensive as the ones on the actual Doran RC.

BJ talks header price

Considering the market will be small and the quality top notch I would not expect this stuff to be cheap.

I'm not asking for cheap but my bank account can't handle $6500 headers. Also fwiw I have Doran's front camber arms so I'm already aware of how much high end race grade parts can cost.

I wasn't really directing my comment at you. I don't doubt your awareness. :)

Again... the manifold will not be cheap....but it will produce...and it will be bitchin to look at.

The headers will NOT be as expensive as our race headers...and actually the retail price is very competitive with other products on the market.

The number one question I get about the headers...are they long or short.
The answer... YES
;)
304 stainless and stepped with a proper merge collector.
Exhaust coating will be an option.

We have a prototype set being made and will be tested on a Z with stock intake and stock exhaust.

There are some more parts in the works.
