Stood all day trying to tune it ended up not being able to. sent it back to the programmers and they didn't find anything / was making 285 at the rear wheels before the uprev tune on the dyno on the last pull......Any ideas!!!!

Thinking of changing Test pipes to FI long tube Headers

Just don't get a tune and drive...? That's a great option!
Besides that, find a different tuner

My gut feeling on the Z1 headers is that you're not going to see more hp over the FI LTH's. Think they are going to make about the some power. Someone may product more like Mike, but not everyone.

I didn't know about their manifold. But yes, we need on z1 numbers which is why you and i are both waiting for some more reviews and dynos.

Well, my Momentums are going on whether I like it or not, there's no choice. And it seems like I'll be the only guy with bolt ons to give a real before/after with JUST the headers as the mod.

We may never know... Not many people are willing to go through putting headers on twice, lol

That may very well be true. What's the average hp gain diff between HFCs and LTH? If that's significant and these could net similar gains without losing cats, they could still be a nice alternative for poele who want LTH power without the smell and noise of going catless.

When do you think it will happen? I am very interested in your results.

The only thing we can do is compare from one car to the next. Billybobby got this with that set up, and Bobbybilly got that with this set up. Until someone tries out both sets. We will never know for sure. ;)

Which is a pointless test

Again, I have no idea, my car is in pieces... And waiting a valve head from Japan... Soooooo... Yeahhhh...

DEpointfive0 08-29-2013 12:29 AM

Oh, and... I will be testing before and after without a tune... So one less variable.

Lastly...... I'm probably going to drive about 1000 miles before I redyno it. So if the car is ready in a week, it will take me another 2 weeks to get back on the dyno

brucelidat 08-29-2013 12:33 AM

Oh yeah, you're the one with the motor dropped. Good luck, I am sure a lot of us are waiting for your results.

I fkin hate driving my car now. Sounds cool like 5% of the time. The rest of the time too loud or the rasp and drone sucks balls. Also a slight rattle is back now coming from the rear. So, after z1 headers and aam de test pipes nothing but rattle problem which is now back but im not even gettin it looked at because I want to take a **** on it rather than drive it anymore. Fkin hate my life now

So what would you say most contributed to the sound? The headers or the test pipes? I've already purchased the headers, but I'm going with a HFC combo.

SS_Firehawk 08-29-2013 07:49 PM

Try HFC's, could be rasping real bad from the test pipes. Maybe get DE flanges for the ones you already had.

Hate that Rasp

I have the same problem wish I would have researched it more, I have Berk test pipes with a Stillen CBE love the Stillen sound hate that rasp and rattle. Thinking of putting on FI LTH cost is holding me back hoping the will get rid of the rasp and rattle.

Eighties Meta 08-31-2013 06:44 PM

Sine the headers n test pipes were such a bummer..... hello 75 shot. If it blows up cares. Im already not happy and will buy something else. Peace
