Well, I'm back in MD now and my z1 header install and de test pipes will occur on 8/19 and run 2 or 3 days inclulding the retune at AAM. Im surprised that there are still no results in this thread yet there will be next week :)

Hoping to see a gain from 317whp to something over 330whp. Original tune and dyno done at aam so should be perfect for comparison of gains from the mods.

Well all tuned up...wasn't the best peak numbers...but they found me some good gains...322 HP 270 tq...based at 306.

Nice results joepro do you have a pic if the dyno sheet? How's does it feel on the street ?

Sweet. Peak is still a damn good gain for you. Looking forward to the remaining info.

I knew there was an issue at 5500... I've been aware of it as have my friends from hearing me complain.... At least I wasn't crazy.

Just want to make sure this was the headers and a retune? Anything else?

I do not have a pre header tune...I was Hoping for 330, it was my goal, however with talking with Vince he said the only ones that dyno higher for them are the ones with long tubes, I did not think there would be that much of a difference between these and long tubes...My torque I though was quite good. I have takeda long tube intakes, the z1 headers, motordyne art pipes and fast intentions exhaust. and M370 manifold. I looked through rt's tuning videos, most of the 370z first pull was average of 300, so I based a tad higher, and most they said were high teens in the 300s...I might also hit a local dyno(they do not tune) and see if I get similar results, every dyno is different, but I can tell you I felt butt dyno results with install of the headers, so regardless of the numbers my feel is they are worth it, and I plan on supercharging in the next year, and the stock header design is restrictive.

But did you have art pipes before as well?

That manifold's costing you peak power and giving you more area under the curve.

It's also August. $5 says you'll hit your power goal if you go back in the winter.

Under the curve is where it counts to me...the art pipes went on a week after the headers to combat the test pipe rasp.

I'm just curious as if you had TPs before as well, or if the mod list was headers, TPs and a tune, or just headers, DE TPs and tune

Yea. Take off the manifold and you will get around +10 peak (from my experience). 330WHP is where you would be if you did.

IIRC, Mike does not run the M370, and achieved 342, albeit on a different dyno.

Absolutely. Ill happily give up 5-10 up top for the increase in mid range power. You spend a lot more time in that part of the power band.
