So you are complaining the car looks so badass but doesnt sound it? So you go and make the exhaust sound badass to fit the car while making it look like some hackjob over ~$20? Am I getting that right? If the Z looked like a hackjob and went fast then a hackjob exhaust would go hand in hand, but the Z doesnt look like a hackjob that goes fast. Mine that my muffler guy did, unbolt too, and the factory bolts right back up.

It's his car, he can do what he wants. At least he takes it to the track, makes whatever he does to the car in the name of tracking a thousand percent more 'legit' than what most of you inflict upon your cars.

Seriously. I'm as critical as it comes of other people's cars, but this guy doesn't deserve the lambasting he's getting for sharing his winter project with you jerks.

:(

id love to take mine to an actual track but hawaii doesnt have one. the autocross here isnt very fulfilling and as you know, back in texas i didnt have my car very long before i could prep it to even make it worth. ill be a track demon once i get back to the mainland. my point isnt the hideous look behind it or how cheap it is. its just completely ineffective to accomplish anything but make noise. hes losing +/- 15lbs off the back of car but with stock cats and piping, its just for noise. its like a civic changing his mufflers. criticize away :stirthepot:

Lol your situation is a special one. I know you'd be tracking if you were still here bro.

If he wants noise, why not? Lol

You know what would be cool? A single exit exhaust that comes out of the fog light area Aventador style.

ResIpsa 01-11-2013 03:07 PM

That would be a great project, but my trailer hitch prevents it.

Uh oh… Did I say trailer hitch on a 370Z? :stirthepot:

Save your pennies and get this: AAM Short Tail Exhaust

That fence post sticking out the back of your car looks hideous, even if it is only for track use.

Do you have one? I REALLY want one

Think he is doing this to jerk everybody's chain, :stirthepot: and to see what he could come up with for his needs at the track. Hell, I've come up with some stupid things when I was racing motorcycles.

You should have just posted this in the track section. We would all have welcomed it and these other haters don't hang out in the track section! Props to you for putting something together on your own!

I understand cheap and effective, but this is pushing it. You should bolt on some 5" diesel tips while your at it lol.

No, if you are going with that idea. Just get some 3lb coffee cans.

Trailer hitch is nothing but brilliance and has been done across the board on multiple platforms!

As posted above the short tails would fit in the trunk and bolt up no problem in minutes at the track!

In for more ground breaking track developments!
