LOL...Nick is pretty much spot on, after I added the test pipes it got real loud. My hope was that the resonated test pipe would keep the increase in sound down...no such luck. I cannot imagine what it must sound like with tp other than ART pipes. Don't get me wrong if you want a pure race car like sound, it is the way to go, but you will need to have a good relationship with your local law enforcement agencies and you will need to wear ear plugs on the highway.

Because of this and the statements I made in my thread I decided that I still wanted loud, but without it being extreme. The bottom line for me was that if I'm going to spend more money on an H pipe and resonated a mid pipe, all which are still in development, I might as well get a fully exhaust and reap the rewards of increased hp and performance.

There is a wealth of information on the forum...which is good thing and then it can be really confusing because there are so many choices. Nick, SS Firehawk and others are very knowledgeable and ultimately it is up to you to make a decision...chose on what you want after weighing the options and go for it...it is only money, if you don't like it, you can do something different. The beauty (curse) of modding.:owned:

here's a customer with AAM true dual and ART pipes. I think this sounds pretty mean

OP, it's a tough concept to grasp, but the vq is not meant to be loud without the hiss/rasp on an n/a set up. It's the truth.. Short tails sound really good on a stock exhaust system, and there are a few members on here that will tell you, once you delete the stock cats, it's quite the game changer. A lot of the exhaust restriction comes within the stock y pipe/midpipe. If you want loud, short tails is the way to go, we will be developing the upgraded h-pipe/midpipe combo to mate up to it, but even we aren't sure how "loud" it's going to be yet with the new combo!
