Very nicely! They are finalizing the jigs and such for production. Should be about 2-3 weeks until shipping..

if the filter put right behide the gill...what if it's raining? or washing the car? isn't the filter will get wet?

RCZ 03-04-2009 05:09 PM

Absolutely nothing will happen if the filter gets a little wet.

It also comes with a shield that protects the front so that it doesn't get doused when it's raining.

i see, thanks guys, because im worried(if one day i get this car) when i take my car to car wash, and i see they shoot some much water in it..i wonder if the water will get all over the filter..

Here's a pic from Stillen showing their intake on a G37. You can sorta see where the shield is (but it's a little hard to see because they've got some special transparency effect going on).

Here's another pic of the setup:

My primary practical concern about these is: how hard is it going to be to service the K&N filters? If the answer is remove the bumper again for filter service, I'd have to pass on that.

semtex 03-05-2009 07:58 AM

^ Yeah, I've been wondering about that as well. But you don't actually have to remove the front fascia to install this, I've read. You just have to go up from under the car, which means you'd have to remove all the underpanels.

I know Brad has been talking to Kyle and we are very excited about this new intake.

So Nissan will not warranty a Part from Stillen, But Stillen will. And dealing with Stillen first hand as a customer and a Vendor I give them 2 thumbs up!!!

And if your dealer is giving you issues about your Mods bring your car to me, I take care of 90% of the Z's that come in the door being a past 350z owner and a 370z owner now.

Relentless Ryan

Stillen has headers out that will fit the 370Z?

that's still going to be pain in the *** to do...is it very different than the G2 in performance and the sound? because i only cares about the intake sounds...

sooo..has anyone got one yet>

Well I have to admit it sounds nice. Raspy and loud. Hopefully the Z would be louder and deeper if possible.

It's not released yet.

Looking at the G37, it would be sweet if those filters extended down to the fog light holes. I would open the bumper there to get even colder air from that point, and not have the filters directly in front of the radiator. It would also make servicing the filters a LOT easier.

I know most people wouldn't want to sacrifice their fog light mounts for the sake of an intake system, but I sure would!

I'm not sure I'd want them that low. It'd significantly increase the risk of hydro-lock if you have to drive through deep water in a heavy rainstorm or something. Considering how low these cars are to the ground already, I'd be really nervous if my intakes were that low to the ground. Just my :twocents:
