This may be slightly off topic, but wouldn't a muffler cat not work particularly well?? I mean with it being so far away from the engine i can't imagine it

This may be slightly off topic, but wouldn't a muffler cat not work particularly well?? I mean with it being so far away from the engine i can't imagine it getting hot enough to burn any extra fuel.
But... If it does function like a normal cat, then it would look badass at night!
