How long should it normally take to replace an exhaust?

With hand tools and just a jack plus jack stands 2-4 hours.

^^ truth...

With a lift and only by yourself like 30-45 mins max..

I've always used our hobby shop when I did any install then I used just jackstands when I pulled my exhaust and damn it doubled the time and the fact your doing it on your back as opposed to standing.

Yeah the only jack I have is the one in the trunk and only hand wrenches. So I wasnt going to attempt putting it on myself, especially with the demon bolts. Its not costing me a fortune so its worth me not killing myself and cursing up a storm laying under the car lol

Oh the time frame I have for under the car and with a lift was strictly for the exhaust.

I would not dare take on the stress of doing tp/hfc/LTH on my own and I'm very mechanically inclined.

I'll gladly pay coin for that. After reading all the horror stories. I didn't even attempt it. I paid a shop here measly $350 to do it (LTHs that is). After close to 10 hours they called me to pick up my car and hated me lol. I saw all their bloody hands/knuckles and knew they went to war lol.

Yeah that does not sound like they had fun JC. Glad I am making the right decision on that. And its only costing me like $200 for the install of the exhaust and the test pipes. I'll take that as a great deal lol

The shop that I'm gonna have install my exhaust quoted me between 90-120 dollars, however you are having test pipes installed too I guess so 200 might be about right.

If i was just doing the exhaust section they quoted $100, $150 for a test pipe install. So your shop price is right on par with mine.

Like many others when they've come close to their build date, I've been 2nd guessing whether or not I have selected the right set up. After talking to Tony back at the beginning of January I opted for the SS 18" resonators. After scrolling through this seemingly never ending thread I've been asking myself about the 12" resonators and CF setup. I'm pretty sure I want to go with the 18" resonators simply because when I drive the car to work it's about a 12 mile drive at 6:45am. I'm worried about the drone annoying me that early in the morning (also don't want the gf to bitch because we can't have a normal conversation w/o talking louder either ). However I'm leaning more towards the CF because everyone says it's more exotic. There are a few Ferrari's, GTR's, Porche's,...ect at work that sound amazing and I want something closer to their sound. The GTR has an Italian TUBI exhaust that is very comparable to the Ferrari's that will having you drooling.

Bottom line, will the CF help me achieve the sound I'm looking for and is it worth the extra $275 by sound alone?

$200 for everything? That's good. If they have never done a Z, I'm sure after you they'll charge more lol.

I can't speak on the CF vs SS mufflers, but i had non-res and it wasn't loud enough for me. A few long trips with the wife no problem talking, it was fine for a DD also. The only bad part is you will be hard pressed to want the raido on because the ehaust sounds so good.

Really? Non-res and you could carry on a conversation w/o any problem? Damn back to contemplating 12" resonators...

He is Non-Res, but is he stock cats, high flow cats, test pipes? I think those make a big difference when added to the exhaust sound from other peoples posts

Just got off the phone with Tony and explained the sound I'm looking for and I have to say he did a superb job on explaining the sound each option will produce. Swapping the order from 18" SS to 12" CF!

Wish every business had customer service like Tony and Blake produce at Fast Intentions!
