About two weeks of 10 miles per day.

Haven't noticed any quieting down.....20,000 miles in. I'd say a tad louder!
Pulling 3.357 gear's with large rubber & "Very" Awesome sounding pulling up the hills on the interstate! Not to mention the "Exotic" tone@wot!!!

First off, you have to remember that I installed this system with a set of Berk high flow cats, so my setup is most likely different from yours and most others in here. I've also done a lot of other bolt-ons in the past few months. With that being said, I had a rough idle and some cat rasp right after install. Both of those have subsided over the past 300+ miles I've put on the car. The idle is now a nice low even rumble. It sounds very V8ish. Under WOT it still screams, but in my opinion, it sounds damn close to a GT track car (it's awesome!). During normal driving it's still noticeable, but not as loud as it was immediately after install. It's either broken in, or I'm just going deaf. Or maybe a combination of both! Now I just need to get a tune.

| only have the exhaust no other bolt ons, maybe that is why.

Tuning will wake it up again; you will probably gain an additional 20whp (+ or - a tad) and will be felt in the seat of your pants when acceleration-thus making the exhaust talk more.
Unsure about the need of the sprint booster w/tune...as the acceleration rate can be changed by either UpRev or Ecutek.

I've been thinking the same about the booster. I plan to turn it off while they tune the car. If it does nothing after the tune, I'll more then likely remove it and post it for sale on here and ebay.

Hey guys, currently looking at an exhaust and was wondering if the exhaust alone (18 inch resonators with stock cats) would produce the famous hissing sound. If yes can you hear it from inside when driving?
Also, is there any cbe that hide the hiss well?
Thanks

cooltoy 09-12-2017 07:50 PM

I don't hear any hissing with mine. But maybe I am not sure what I am listening for.

I haven't noticed a hiss yet and I've got the 18 CF with resonators and the HFC.

I got hissing on my just the cbe 12 resonator with carbon fiber canister, but it's only if you're still and just rev and listen for it

What causes the hissing? A leaks? Is it noticeable inside? I'll listen closely tonight on my way home from work and see if I notice anything.....

From the research I did, the hissing sound comes from the engine itself. All cars have it. Normally, it becomes quite noticable with hfc or tp but I wasn't sure if you could here it with a cbe only.

Just a characteristic of this engine.
