18" resonators are pretty livable in the cabin. It's only loud above 4000 rpm, at everyday city driving you will be able to have a normal conversation, and when you step on it you'll know you are driving a sports car. And apparently the SS cans are a bit quieter then CF.

Actually I would but my passenger (wife) would not. How loud is the exhaust note inside the cabin? I love this car, actually won an award at a pretty large car show Saturday, what a hoot!

Thanks

Like Cooltoy mentioned, the version with the 18" resonators is the one I have and it's perfectly livable inside the car. You really only hear it if you get on the gas and get it over 4k.

Thanks for the info! I see you have the drop in filters, does that really make the intakes work better?

Today could be the Day!!! Hoping to see the Big-Brown truck pull up with #1359 order inside :) :) :)
So ready for the upgrade: 18"res. TP's w/xtra bungs for A/F sensors & 18" res. TDX.
Everything is removed & out of the way for installation.
I may even have to stay up past my bedtime...lol

The intakes still function the same. They are just a set of K&N filters, nothing special.

I just got off the phone with Kevin. Great guy to deal with.
I have officially placed my order for the FI TDX CBE w/ 18" resonators. Number 1436 has an ETA of July 11-25. OK, the countdown has officially begun. It's all in Gods and Kevins hands from here on in.

I'm # 1374. Can't wait. Jchammond your exhaust looks awesome. # 1370 said he got his exhaust so it should be shipping soon.

Anybody have any input on the comparison of the outside and cabin volume between the 12" and 18" resonators? I'm planning on installing FI Long Tube Headers as well so taking into consideration these resonators is a large decision for me.

the resonators on the CBE itself do not change the exterior volume much at all. it's a small difference.

the resonators really just are there to mitigate the drone of the exhaust on the inside and eliminate some rasp.

volume comes from the CBE in general, removing the super restrictive stock cats, and then the different tones between the SS and CF muffles.

also the LTH and TPs have different sounds as well.
