yea that's where the weight savings comes from. wouldn't imagine them being 5lbs lighter with full SS cans and a CF wrap lol

I didn't even realize it was a lighter system when I ordered mine. I just liked the look and sound of it. I assumed they were just wrapped, but a 3lb/can difference shows otherwise.

I ordered mine 2 days ago. ( 18 Resonated CBE With RHFC)
If anyone has this setup, How does it sound ? or How great does it sound :D

What were you guys doing for 3 months waiting for the exhaust
I think i am done blasting my speakers on all Fast intentions videos possible.

WAITING FOR JUNE LOL

Is the concensus now that the non-resonated F.I. CBE goes best with the LTH's? I'm thinking of swapping my 18" res x-pipe out for a non-res one. I'm looking for more of a rumble and scream (similar to the motordyne exhaust) and am wondering if going non-res would help. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Just installed my new/used FI CBE today. Non-resonated sounds real good. Now maybe I can hear the car with the radio turned up.

I would think test pipes and non res would be more of a screamer. Headers are deeper sounding than test pipes, non res is def higher pitched than 18"

Has anyone seen a really good comparison video between the no resonator, 12" and 18"? I am trying to pick between the three and having a hard time deciding. Another issue is that each video is recorded with different volumes in place so it is hard to compare. Ideally I want something that sounds sexy, minimal drone, and will not attract too much attention in a work parking lot.

Gen 3 install will be end of this month, going for FI exhaust(12 weeks?), and then Berk HFC. Possibly a tune after that. Sticky tires and then I'm all done with the car.

I had that set up originally and yes it's a screamer. you are also correct with the LTHs giving a deeper tone overall to the system.

think of the NR, 12, and 18 like this: drone, less drone, least drone.

the volume difference between NR and the 12/18 is louder and the 12/18 res have minimal volume differences between them.

EYE ESS,

Hopefully I can offer some words of wisdom in making your decision easier.

Our Non-Resonated exhaust is our loudest option. It is very exotic sounding and slightly higher pitched. With stock or high flow cats rasp will be very minimal; if any at all.

Our 12" Resonated exhaust is our middle of the road option in terms of sound level. The 12" resonators will smooth out the exhaust note and quiet down the interior noise.

Our 18" Resonated exhaust is our quietest option. This resonator option will cut the most interior noise out as well as give you the smoothest exhaust note. Even though this is our quietest option, it is still a large improvement over the stock exhaust note.

NOTE: The resonators are strictly noise canceling devices and DO NOT hinder the performance of the exhaust system.

I hope this helps, and if you have any other questions please feel free to ask me. :tiphat:

Will you be selling your exhaust then?

Leroydsouza 03-03-2015 11:34 PM

Well i posted in another thread, But since its all about FI here, and the presence of FI here will maybe clear my doubts

Ordered FI CBE 18" Resonated With RHFC

The RHFC has options such as Extra o2 Bung
Description States - Optional extra wideband bungs can be welded in either one pipe or both pipes for an additional charge. A wideband bund is generally used for A/F ratio's on a dyno or an actual A/F wideband gauge within the car.

Do i need this ?
Also, Resonated Test Pipes VS Resonated HFC's ? DO i need these o2 bungs ?

I thought picking the company would be the hard part :P But fast intentions managed to put so many options, Life has become hard

I am going down the TT route And Kevin from FI confirmed that the HFC's will be implemented in their TT setup.

No, if I decide to go the non-res route, I would just purchase a non-res X-pipe and swap it out...thats another great thing about the F.I. set-up.

Merv 03-04-2015 08:15 AM

Thank you fast intentions.
I have received my exhaust and installed it over the weekend. Looks and sounds amazing! Too many thumbs up to count when on my daily commutes. :tiphat:
