No....... If you driving around town & you are shift b/w 3-4k rpm's it sounds sexy. Now when you are on the freeway & you open her it is no problem. I wouldn't drive through suburbs & shift at 6k rpm's, but maybe shift b/w 2-3k rpm's at night time for sure. I sh*t you not heads will definitely turn if your barely going or you open her up. The Meisterschaft exhaust is one of the sexy sounding exhaust out there.

Haha I'm liking your description. Definitely doing a good job selling me on this. So you're saying no rasp... the people saying that are wrong. And the exhaust is sexy and exotic. Correct?

LOL....... The reason I bought this was b/c I wanted something different that not everybody & there mother has on their car. The Meisterschaft full cat-back exhaust has a very unique, distinctive & exotic sound to it. Think of it like a Ferrari & Lamborghini sound in a way. Some will like the loud, sexy & exotic sound & other's will not b/c it to raspy, or whatever their reason is. Some will just hate on Meisterschaft exhaust b/c it too expensive & overpriced & they do not want to pay the price, or just can't afford it. It is like watching a movie......some will like it & some will not like it. At the very end of the day it is your car & your money & it doesn't matter what everyone & there mother thinks. If you are happy with your purchase & the sound it produces, then enough said. You have this thread & two-three other threads regarding the Meisterschaft exhaust along with four videos. I will post one-two videos as well. I love the sound & I do not think it sounds raspy, or an effen headache.

Awesome. Thanks dude. I think ill get this. And I'm assuming you have the full system. Like mid pipe and all, correct?

And i guess I just don't see what people are talking about with rasp then. Or maybe its a different kind of rasp. You're saying it sounds some what like a Lamborghini or something which is perfectly fine by me! Haha

One last thing is you said you felt maybe a slight gain in power and were thinking it would improve after a little while. Do you plan on getting a dyno anytime in the future? Not that that is my main concern with exhaust I was just hoping for a bonus.

Thanks for all your help.

No problem. Yes, I do have the full cat-back exhaust system (Section 1 Y Pipe, Section 2 Cat-Back Mid-Pipe & Section 3 Cat-Back Mufflers). On the cold start it has the Ferrari/Lamborghini sound in my opinion. GTHAUS states that there will be some hp gains around 20-30 hp, but you will not see all of it as in CAI until you have driven about 120-150 miles with the new modes on. I babied my Nismo for the first 1,200 miles. I never went past 4k rpm's & never went past 80 mph. I usually avg. at 3-3.5k rpms & 65-70 mph. I can say this for sure is that the sound has changed night & day. I might get a dyno sometime in the near future.

All right ladies here are a couple of video clips. Oh please see the two links below that I made today regarding the Meisterschaft exhaust sound. The first link is a cold start-up while I am reviving it, but didn't pass 7k rpms. The second link is while driving with windows up, having rpms not past 7k, and never breaking the speed limit.

The first video is my favorite.........

First video is my favorite, car sounds mean as hell! Truely an exotic sound. I can only imagine the attention your going to get lol. Great choice on the exhaust, always been a big fan of Meisterchaft. My brother had it on his M5 and sounded sick as well. Now the sound of your car matches the look of it! You feel any significant power or throttle difference?

IsaacSG31 05-29-2012 05:54 PM

Awesome. Thanks for all your help man. And coming through with the videos. Appreciate it.

The first video is off the chain. The sound is exotic & sexy like a MOFO & will certainly captivate a lot of attention for sure. Meisterschaft sure has done an amazing job with their exhaust on the Z. Meisterschaft exhaust started out on the BMW & Audi. The BMW M3 & M5 is just completely effen nasty. I have always like the Tubi exhaust on the M3 & M5, but I believe the Meisterschaft has won me over for them. I have babied my Nismo & never opened her up. I believe there is some difference in power & throttle for the most part, but will notice more as the mileage goes up. The effen sound is the biggest difference.

Man it is the very least that I could have done. I wish there were more videos with the Meisterschaft exhaust on Z's. I wouldn't mind putting a camera on the back of the car to get more of the exhaust sound as the car is opening up all the way.

How would one put a camera on the back bumper, or close enough to the exhaust while driving to give everyone a better sound idea under different loads.

IsaacSG31 05-29-2012 07:47 PM

Haha I wish there were more too! I am in like the same position as you. A 2012 nismo. Have maybe taken it to 5 only recently as I've hit 1k miles. Waiting the extra 2 hundred to finally hit it fully. Haha

If you are going to order the Meisterschaft exhaust you better do it now before you have to wait 2-3 months before another shippment comes in.

I guess there aren't much videos as it is a pretty rare exhaust and many don't have it so you will definitely stand out of the crowd. As far as a bumper camera, you would need to look into a GoPro camera, actually made for these type of purposes.

True........ Watch since I have it & I'm talking about it, everybody & their mother is going to come out of the wood works with the Meisterschaft exhaust (hopefully not though.......hehehehe). A sales rep for GTHAUS said that their exhaust is huge in FL for whatever reason & kind of big in the East & West Coast. Here in TX not so much. A GoPro camera goes for a couple hundred I'm assuming.

give us a fly bye!!!!

MacLean 05-29-2012 10:34 PM

I can see if I can get a friend to record me flying by. I wanted to give more than that & a truer & closer exhaust sound.
