I stopped by Akuma today to check out their new intake and all I have to say is WOW! The set up of this system lookin so damn clean! If anyone is in the market for a new intake I would honestly say wait for this system to released it will be worth it!!

Sorry for the delay on this guys. We had a race this past weekend so I had to put the intakes on hold. I will say they performed flawlessly at the track...the read diff, that is a totally different story...lol

I have the raw materials coming in this week. Once it arrives I will have kits going out immediately for testing. These kits will have brackets for added stability as well. I should have a few sets made by Friday/Saturday.

I am still not 100% on the filter mfr....Either K/N, AEM or Green... i am open to suggestions.

Regards,

John

Very nice, definitely interested.

What is the price difference between those 3 filters?

Srenity 06-14-2012 12:30 AM

Sweet gains on both. But damn is that first setup seeing some kickass gains. Are these the ones that require a tune or no?

ZMan8 06-14-2012 02:37 PM

So what are the details about the new design? Price? When available? Do we need to modify anything to install them?

Also we need more independent dynos. Will you guys be doing discounts for reviews?

BigT 06-14-2012 02:46 PM

Still 2 different cars. How about dyno before and after on the same car?

Jordo! 06-14-2012 02:49 PM

I think you have a typo on the second set of runs -- shouldn't wtq be 231?

The first dyno sheet was the same car before and after the intakes.

Yes that was a typo thanks for the head ups Jordo!

Pricing is still yet to come but will beat competitors pricing

The only custom modification that needs to be done is to open up the holes in the front bumper support where the intakes come through into the front bumper.

They will be available very soon! PM me if you would like to purchase one and i can add you to the list or call us at 732-326-0090

Yes, these intakes require a tune. The second plot is the shop car(with our intakes) against a fully modded customer car. I realize our shop car makes some good power stock, so I wanted to do a comparison to illustrate how low the dyno actually reads. Our shop car is just one of those lucky ones that makes a few more ponies out of the box.

Alchemy 06-14-2012 05:02 PM

Nice gains:tup:

You guys are out of Jersey!?! +1 for some fellow Jersey boys!

'10Anamoly 06-14-2012 07:18 PM

Need a comparison between the shop car with the 2.5" intakes tuned and the 2.75" intakes tuned. That is what will be the most noticeable item.

'10Anamoly 06-19-2012 09:48 AM

Any updates?

TeRRoRiFiC35 06-20-2012 03:15 PM

John showed me the one's on his car in person last weekend after the guys at Akuma were putting my G37x back to stock, they definately look great in person. Also can't forget to thank Kevin for the great customer service he provided last Saturday. I'm still having my debate of getting a new 370z or waiting to find a '09 E92 M3(being extremely picky with these).

AkumaMS 06-21-2012 07:09 AM

Material is in. I should have a set mocked up today.

john

'10Anamoly 06-21-2012 08:28 AM

Looking forward to a stock + Stillen vs stock + Akuma MS 2.75" intake comparo. :)

Thanks Sean it was a pleasure to have you here, hope to be seeing you around soon!

NYBladeZ 06-21-2012 11:24 AM

Another long tube intake on the market! Sweet! Up to this point Injen and Stillen g3's have had the market cornered, these should see good gains especially with a tune.

falconfixer 06-21-2012 11:59 AM

Did I hear Group Buy?

Thanks for being patient we will have some sets for you very soon!

'10Anamoly 06-23-2012 12:12 PM

Kevin, are you able to do a back to back comparison with Stillen Gen 3's vs Akuma's 2.75" pipes with identical mods otherwise? This is what we need to see to start doling out money.

haitech 06-23-2012 05:09 PM

In for more info

sleeper69 06-23-2012 08:20 PM

Looks very clean. I would like to see the pipes in a powder coated or anodized black finish. It would look even better.
