Please help. FI exhaust mufflers are ruined
1 Attachment(s)
Backed into a curb. Dented both of my mufflers. Here is a pic of the left one which is a bit worse than the right.
What are my options? Is this repairable? Will I need to get replacements mufflers from Tony and have them welded on? |
doesn't look all that bad.

You should ask Tony. Post this in the Fast Intentions thread, see if someone can help.

Now from a cost standpoint it is not cost effective to just replace the mufflers. Here is your best two options. 1) Send the rear section to us and I will see if i can just cut the 2 mufflers out and weld new ones in. 2) Purchase a new rear section from us. Option 1 will be slightly less money but this way you will not have any downtime. Give me a call on Monday and we can go from there. Thanks, Tony |

I think the best option is to stop looking at it. I bet it is functionally fine... |

Can you even see it without crawling on the ground? Does it sound any different?

Well then....
Stop. Looking. At it. And drive. |
LOL I was expecting to see the muffler shattered in pieces. This is nothing man
|
As long as it is structurally sound and does not leak or cause flow issues, this is only a cosmetic thing... which means you can run it without any problems.
If the looks really bother you, then I guess you just need to lighten your wallet once again. |
The corner edge of the mufflers both of mine are pretty bad as well (just 1" section). Ever felt a 4" drop in the parking lot? Yea, that ruined my night.
