Couldn't agree with you more. Opinions abound, but I'll say I will have to vouch for Megan here.... they are affordable and generally have reasonable quality products. I think these TPs are a reasonable investment ($180 tx and ship), since they likely won't stay on my car for long in my case. I basically want to see if they would make a difference in the sound and drivability/ performance of the car before I lay out $600 + for quality HFC's... so far the jury is out. The sound is better though.

Yeah: Its a bugger!!! But you need to really soak the bolts with PB blaster or equivalent and it is hard to get it on those top bolts on both sides but just do it.... Then you need a hella long extension attached to your 1/2" socket wrench (long handle or breaker bar recommended) with a wobble joint at the end attached to your socket. With good lighting from below (under the car) and approaching the top bolts on the cats from the engine compartment on both sides. You will need to remove the air filter and hoses to visualize the bolt on the drivers side. Again, you are approaching those top bolts from the engine compartment down. Good lighting from below is a must so you can see the bolt and you will. Just jigger the socket on the bolt and gently with some torque loosen it. Tip: I used a breaker bar the first time to generate enough force to loosen the bolts. I've heard of people shearing them off so lots of PB blaster and patience. Best of luck. Do it once and the next time it is a breeze.:icon23:

I for some reason cannot download a picture link on this post ;-( but do a google search for "installing catalytic converter on 370z and there is a good choice of picture and YouTube vids info.

i have megan test pipes and they work just fine. a little raspy between 2800-3000rpms depending on how heavy my foot is, but thats something you'd expect from test pipes.
